Recommended Posts

Well Stubbo you can stop being worried!

Stu cleaned the stage AGAIN, but not by a great margin.

My Porsche was much better this direction, must be the way i ran during the setup!

Mel and Stubbo had a great battle with almost nothing between them.

That Team slot is just so easy to drive. It really suited the Hillclimb track.

Well done to Stubbo and OTFS.

The cars are now with Bruce (Boss 302) for the final round on Bat Florio Hillclimb.

Oh well not my year this year Shelmore has become my Fords Achilles heel , congrats to slo1quick the class of the field won the event in style and consistency , and i think your going to be the main man this year , be interesting to see who gets 2nd and 3rd possibly a Ford RS200 but who's ??

Miveson is away, but no doubt will update the points when he returns.

But my rough calculation puts Stu Alpine out in front from Gas41t,Peter Gunn and fast finishing OTFS.

But then there is some very close racing with the rest.

Bat Florio is very tight and twist so my favour some of the other cars.

Thanks Phil, great job.

Good to see Stubbo and yourself and flipper up the pointy end, looks like it has given me some breathing space from Gas and Keith. Sorry I guys, I know how that feels.

It aint over yet though, good luck with the remaining round guys

Cant figure these Tassie tracks. I mostly do bettera at the HillClimb track compared to with the Park Rally track. Seems if I can finish in the top 8 at the first round, then my car does ok at the other rounds. No logic in that, but its been that way for me for the last couple years

Hi Phil and all.

Thanks for the good run and quick results Phil/Miveson. Yes I noticed that SR so at least we can have a race within a race.

My Ford RS200 really does not like those Tassie tracks although I thought hill climb may have suited more than some of the tight rally tracks. Really might have to do away with that Scaly motor although overall it has performed really well.

Good luck to all for final round.

PS. Had another look at that hill climb track. It is really pretty tight in some places.

PS 2. Mind you I was 17secs slower overall than last year so perhaps I just had a bad day.

Charles the Hillclimb has been altered since last year, a couple of corners realigned and some resurfacing, so a bit hard to compare.

But I would have thought the track may have been faster this year, but the driver is also getting slower!

Thanks Phil.

I doubt the driver had anything to do with it. I am sure everybody got the very best treatment possible.

Your comment about track condition is interesting though as WRC best time was almost identical and Historic only 10secs faster. Big mover was RAID which was 62secs quicker with most cars beating previous years time.

Just some more of my useless observations.

Regards Chas Le Breton
