Most Reliable Light Bridge Set Up

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone

About to purchase light bridge set up (track is already braided and dead strip now out of the equation)

and wondering the most reliable trouble free set up.

I've heard Arduino is cheap but not reliable.

Any suggestions?

I've got the Uno on mine. While we had some issues with the cable etc, it all works well now.

Light bridge was made from two brass rods soldered together about 15mm apart in a gantry fashion.

Lights are infrared LEDs with sensors, set up by Shadow_Rusty. Total cost for parts was about $30.

I'd probably fit visible LEDs today as their easier to see, but the setup is simple and inexpensive.

You could do a similar thing with wood or plastic instead as well...
