gazza
Last Stage and final results for the Historics Could have been a better run for the Metro but a broken wire saw any chance of a podium gone Low clearance on Fabians Renault lead to longer lap times Very low profile tyres on Rossco's RS had the same effect on his lap times The Escort of Boss 302 had no clearance Ben, a bit of overkill with the NSR power plant ...... well on my track anyway The braids on the cars that chose to use the tin ones are starting to show signs of wear and some are loosing contact from time to time Stage 2 results Final Results Congratulations to the podiumites Quote Quickly read this post before it is deleted or i turn grey again Gary http://www.facebook.com/Rallyproxy2017
Peter Gunn
Thanks Gazza for all the hard work put into the OZ by you and many others through out the series, like the pictures , especially the underneath one's goes to show how and how not to prepare a car for a long haul, use those silver braids here in F1 cars and lasts about 2 meetings good while it does , always thought with rally cars you needed good ground clearance!!!, congrats to all the competitors some nice cars there. Ben_M
Ben, a bit of overkill with the NSR power plant ...... well on my track anyway Would have put money on this comment when I fitted it. Was interested to see how it went. A little too much power that is not delivered well for rally. Lets call it a work in progress. Thanks for the quality round and well done to those up the pointy end. Quote Some slot (and MTB) vids NOW SHOWING
gazza
use those silver braids here in F1 cars and lasts about 2 meetings good while it does , Yeh not the best to put on a car that's going to be running on around a dozen track in quick succession More shots Quote Quickly read this post before it is deleted or i turn grey again Gary http://www.facebook.com/Rallyproxy2017
kalbfellp
Thanks Gazza great report as usual, congratulations to Mel, Keith and yourself. Must remember to change the soft Ninco braids before putting the guide in the car for testing, as it ran well so just got put in the ready to race shelf. miveson
Series results updated.... (humble apologies for the delay) Some decent gains on the series leaders by the 3rd and 4th placed cars. OTFS will be pleased with back to back wins. The question is can Mel maintain his great run on his home track or will the pressure get to him!!!!! Stubbo
Thanks Gazza. A bit of Steeler's Wheel going on with #20 ("Stuck in the middle" for those who may be wondering wtf? is he talking about). But consistency is good. Now to find some pace. Well done to the guys out front. I think these little babies will be heading south soon the to the tropical Gippsland Coast. That might sort a few out. charlesx
Thanks for a great round Gazza. The photos round it off nicely Congrats to Mel, Peter and you Gazza on your podiums. Good to see you come through with a couple of wins Mel. Looks like I carried my cost savings too far. It is the third year without renewing braids so it is no wonder they are failing. shadow_rusty
Looks like we are neck and neck again Chas... Your car is definitely better on the faster open tracks, but my 'soft' 16k seems to help it on the more difficult stages. Congrats on the podiumites, and thanks Gazza for another decent placing for my humble little scaley... charlesx
Hi S_R. Yes agreed re our Ford RS200's. Mind you my braids did not help by all a/cs. Not really a surprise. Apart from braids however I thought my car was certainly better than previous year. I will get that weight right yet.
