Wobble
I'm wanting to know if some one can point me in the right direction to get waterslide roundel decals (about 13mm) for 1/32 cars. I don't need numbers as I have heaps but nothing to place them on.

dangermouse
roundels are easy to do if you don't want the border ring. Grab a sheet of white decal paper and then using any circular object and a sharp blade - cut them out. That way you can vary the size to suit the car. I have a circular cutting tool. Â The decals on this car are done this way. Â

dangermouse
Yeah but don't pay those shipping costs,  I am sure someone on here from NZ will be able to tell you where to get decal paper from cheaper than that.  I picked up one of these from the craft shop for less than $10   IN other discussions on here about decal paper people have recommended these places  Laser Printer http://www.tangopapadecals.com/paper.htm  http://www.craftycomputerpaper.co.uk/category/Decal-Paper  Not sure which work out best price. If you have a colour ink jet or laser printer it isn't too hard to print your own decals   oh and the Ferrari is a Carrera 1/
mopar
Interested in that circle cutter DM . Does the pivot point leave any sort of mark ?

David Carter
The advantage with 1/24 for builders like yourself Bram is the great easy to get bodies for custom builds Wish it was that good with the 1/32 scale stuff   Quote Holdens rule the rest just drool  slot cars are my drug, ATCC/Bathurst proxy host NZ Grp5 proxy host. kalbfellp
Yes the circle cutter leaves a small pin hole in the decal paper, where the pivot goes, just like a compass. I tried one many years ago, ended up making one from a small compass that worked better on small circles. But I was only using it for cutting circles for masking rounders before painting. These days I am lucky enough to be able to print white roundels. Quote Phil  https://www.hobartminiaturecarclub.com/  Email
dangermouse
and that's just opened another 'can of worms' ... all of a sudden I've taken a liking to 1/24 cars  Me to -I have a few now and I picked the Ferrari and a '62 Corvette up in a trade (thanks Paul) still searching for the blue #2 Corvette Grand Sport  I have been running them at a couple of mates places - the Carrera cars are a lot of fun. We run them at 18v they are a bit like NC1 cars to run - not super fast but close runners  As Phil mentioned the circle cutter leaves a pin hole - but you can't really see it on the door of the Ferrari? It either disappears when you apply the decal or I put a dot of white paint or liquid paper over it (use a toothpick to apply) once the clear coat goes over it isn't that noticeable. As Phil mentioned you could fashion one from a compass and an exacto blade.  cheers David Edited January 5, 2016 by dangermouse

dangermouse
Yes the 2nd one all blue #2 - not paying those dollars though especially as the postage will probably require me to mortgage the house. Â I have located one of the white ones - still hunting for a blue one before I think about jumping on the white one. Â cheers David
