bozcorp61
Hi All I have been looking around on the net for replacement tyres for a 1/24 Cox cheetah, the only tyres available seem to be from ortmann. Are there any other tyres available and is there a supplier in aus for the ortmann tyres. Thanks

kalbfellp
Not sure of the number, mine came loose in a plastic bag years ago. The MJK have a cleaner inside sidewall, so need little or no sanding. bozcorp61
Looking into the Paul Gage tyres and will also check out the mjk's. Would i be right in thinking Paul Gage tyres OEM style. MJK plain urethane ? Thanks
espsix
Both are urethane, PG are more of a home made thing, as are Ortmman, MJK are more of a factory looking tyre. If you want Ortmmans there is a guy in Melbourne who imports them.
dangermouse
Paul's tyres aren't really home made now - he does offer reproductions of existing tyres but most of his tyres are created from moulds of his own development - he has a couple of different formulas - one around Shore 40 and an XPG which is a softer compound. As Phil said MJK has a tidier inside sidewall but Paul's tyres are better in this regard now as well I use Shore 40 tyres on my cars (ones I make at home) I have a few cars with Paul's XPG tyres and others with MJK Edited November 25, 2015 by dangermouse
kalbfellp
Most want original looking tures for Cox cars, MJK otther the best looking, PG usually have more grip. Quote Phil https://www.hobartminiaturecarclub.com/ Email
