For the Sideways Gp. 5 Class, are we allowed to use an aftermarket Slot It Pinion. In particular the ergal gears? so long as it is still 11T 6.5mm Anglewinder/Sidewinder Gear? I don't think there were any problems with this last year. Also can we use any screws for the motor pods and body posts?

GEARS:

1.Original Slot.It YELLOW 28T anglewinder gear.

2.Original Slot.It 11T pinion.

.....Looks like only the original Slot.it pinions can be used, no aftermarket. Screws should be "any".......

Thanks for clarifying Werner.

How do the frequent flyers transport their cars and equipment?

My race box is made of wood, and is to large to be carry on, and wouldn't survive the trip as check in luggage.

I'm flying with Virgin. They have 23kg luggage allowance. Slot Car tool box and clothes go into one big suitcase underneath. Slot Cars and Controller go carry on with me. Heads up, you might get a few weird looks when it goes through the X-ray machine.

Hi Brett

Most of the guys that travel have metal cases that you can buy from bunnings for $25 or so. The trick is to buy 2 of them and take the lids off.

Then join the 2 bottoms together for your cars and contrller and join the 2 lids together to make a tool box for your tools and parts. One of the guys (Paul NZ) up here was making them a while back but has dropped out of slotcars for a while.

$50 and a few rivets, can't be too hard for a talented guy like yourself.

Scoll down this page until you get to Jazzbell's box. He managed to squeeze 18 cars and a controller in easily enough.

Hope this helps

I've started the build of my second SlotWorx V8 and I've noticed what might be a issue for me.

My chassis has a H plate that is a true H.

Yet in the rules, http://www.auslot.com/forums/index.php?/topic/19251-regulations-124-slotworx-v8/page__fromsearch__1 it states that only chassis components pictured can be used, and the H plate is more of an X.

Where do I get the correct part?

2 weeks and 2 days until Track will be prepared ready for MCN 2016. Our scene and shop has been struggling this year, apologies for being so absent. We have always wanted an MCN in QLD, and a venue to host. The track and shop will provide a great weekend of racing. Garry Johnson will keep the race program solid with his skills. Werner Wittsack will knock out the tech checks. Bare in mind though we are very low on stock for racing needs. Please think ahead for parts and bring with We can cover Plafit supplies locally. Armchair Racer for Slot.it and Sideways, Thunderbird Raceway for NSR and both these guys can help with Scalextric etc. If in Melbourne Mobile Raceways can help you out too. And if I may ask for a role call, estimate number's would be a great help.

Thanks Guys.

You can email entry forms to sales@redracer.com.au

I have had internet problems and the phone is included as digital system. Got a new Modem last week and still on and off. Please leave a message with number so I can return any calls.

Payment can be made over the phone or once arrive for MCN. The entry forms are more important.

Only a week to go... Great to see all the entries flying in for this event from the Southern states.

Queenslanders, we've waited a long time for this event to come to our home state so don't miss the opportunity to race with the best scale racers in the country. Red Racer, Ace Hobbies and other patrons have all contributed so we could have a track and facility good enough to stage this event so hope to see you there.

BTW are there any spare adapter plugs (controller to track) to borrow whist up there?

.......Spare adapter plugs might be a bit of a problem as our locals here do not have or use them. But spare controllers should be available if that helps.

Cheers

Werner
