lenny broke
Hi Werner, I notice that in the regulations under Section 5 Prizes there is only mention of prizes and trophies for 1/24 scale classes. Is there going to be such for the 1/32 scale classes? Regards Alan Quote home track club racer Spitfire Raceway forum link https://www.facebook.com/groups/1753319218331240/?ref=bookmarks

slotcarnut
Dont know where that incorrect rumor started but I Can guarantee 100% all classes (except magnet classes) are running on the 8 Lane Timber Track, biggest model car track in Australia. lenny broke
....It is always better to read the event info first Hi Werner, Can I suggest that you post a copy of the regulations here in this thread. More people will see it here and make it easier to refer to. I've had a couple of looks at the linked site and I find it not the easiest to read. BigMick
Thats why I was relying on what I had herd Alan. Even with my glasses on I was struggling. However I am sure Werner can remember where that conversation about plastic track got its um traction from. Check with the event organiser is a great rule of thumb I find Mick
Vinno
Would it be better to have a second thread with the regs only and lock it? Most people go to the last page of threads so as this one grows there will be constant questions about them as people won't automatically start at the beginning. If they need editing at any stage Werner has control of the thread so can do as he pleases there.
BigMick
Yep thats the way Shane has done it for a while it makes it easier. I simply could not read the photobucket stuff. So started asking people here in Adelaide who I know have involvement in the nationals its better to go to the source if you can you dont get the snippy comments that way. Still best of luck slotcarnut with your national effort Luck was all I was wishing

We can also have a one-post-locked thread here with links to the MCN information. Many people do not refer to or use this forum. Camber
I think it is a good idea to have the event details both here and on your picasa albums Werner. That way it should reach more people. Auslot and other raceway Facebook pages are an excellent source of promotion as well. Can I suggest having each of the class rules in a separate thread so they can be accessed easily. Quote Hoo Roo

wwwace
.....Question on all the MCN 1/32 Sideways Group 5 racers : In last year's regulations about the allowed cars in this class there is specifically the Porsche 935/78 listed. Does this mean that the other 935 types like the 935/77A, 935/K2 and the expected 935/K4 are excluded ? If not, can you please let us know and we will add them to the list. Thanks. Cheers Werner I think that all the Poesches are OK to run. I think the only difference between models is flaring of guards and tail While we are on the MCN I have not seen the race format for the event in any of the rules. After 100 days in hospital with my son after a bone marrow transplant I will be like a dog off the chain . Can't even put into words how great it will be to be out of the box . So to all that have meet me looking forward to catching up and talking your legs off and to those that haven't, looking forward to meeting you . Thanks to Noel for offering up a bed for me , hope you are still married at the end of the weekend. Lol . Looking forward to having plenty of fun and a beer or three . Brooksy
For the Sideways Gp. 5 Class, are we allowed to use an aftermarket Slot It Pinion. In particular the ergal gears? so long as it is still 11T 6.5mm Anglewinder/Sidewinder Gear? I don't think there were any problems with this last year. Also can we use any screws for the motor pods and body posts? Quote Brooksy

espsix
How do the frequent flyers transport their cars and equipment? My race box is made of wood, and is to large to be carry on, and wouldn't survive the trip as check in luggage.
dangermouse
Not that I am a frequent flyer with slot cars - I grabbed some of those aluminium cases that look like a brief case - add some dividers inside and you can carry 8 to 12+ cars
