The HB guys will get it done asap for us.

Cheers - Dave.

They pulled out 2 weeks ago.

There will still be 8 Races to make up the series as normal.

So business as usual.

Yes sorry about Taranaki everybody but our current numbers racing at moment and other practical considerations made running of event impossible.

Hopefully we will be back next year.

At this stage the Nelson guys will be doing what we did for Race 1 and 2, having 2 Races but using 8 different drivers.

Round 3 will be held next Thursday 3rd September on Wongy's track.

. I'll do qualifying about 5pm, anyone who can come to help, gratefully received.

Then we can run the round at 7pm

Round 3 of the NZ Group 5 proxy was run tonight on Chris' track. Sorry I left my camera behind, so I don't have any pics, but here are qualifying and race results.

Overall we feel the standard of cars is up on last year. I haven't compared overall race laps run between the 2 years.

I have sent the results spreadsheet up to Westy to do the series standings.

Thanks for the chance to run your cars. There were lots of sweet drives but my picks of the night were J-Macs awesome 935 closely followed by the 935s of Tony Cook and P Slacker. There's a common thread there.

Thanks for the run guys. 21 cars 5 - 5.5secs in qualifying is pretty impressive, though the racing sorted them a bit more.

Cheers for the round guys. There is certainly some close racing in this Proxy. Can't wait to get a drive of those pesky new 935's.

Hi aqua. You had no grip and this caused the drivers to take a little bit more care just to get round the track. Dave Carters car had a completely different chassis for his car and was consistent for his set up . And was a sidewinder. I have mine set up in inline and will enter if there is a next year. Will be interesting.

Thanks for running the round guys, yeah the Porsches are nice slot cars to drive if not overpowered. I do agree Mark that it could be geared up somewhat.

Thanks to the Napier team for running the round.

My 935 was obviously the exception to the norm. Had to re-do tires just before giving the car to Dave at start of the series, which totally messed up all the settings, not really a happy car.

Oh well, always next year.
