I don't know if anyone here is using RC live But if you are you may like to try this Android app.

"From: Slingshotx <slngshotx@gmail.com>

Wondered if you, or any of your fellow racers were interested in trying out my latest addition for rc.

Basically RC Speak is an android app that uses the RC Live feature to announce race info I.e position, gap and lap times on your mobile device.

There is a demo version available on my website http://slngshotx.wix...downloads/c142w

Please feel free to post or email the link around. I'm trying to gauge if it's worth the cost of releasing as a full blown app.

Thanks

Kevin"

Never knew Kevin existed, now I do.
Love the camera flash idea, amongst the others, I think I might look at adding that into my circuit when I get it going.
Thanks for sharing.

I haven't heard of RC Live though and cannot see an android app on his site.
Is it something Dave has done with Race Co-ordinator or am I way off base.
Cheers Grant

Kevin is a member on Slotforum,he did the initial work on RC Ardunio and the wiring for the Ardunio was his work.

The app is only a link to download at this stage for him to get some feed back.

If you hunt thru this thread you should find all you need.

I think there is also some info on the SCI thread also.

It was some time ago when I was playing with it,BUT not much interest down here so have not continued with it.

The link phil posted talks primarily about the prototype for rc live, rc live is fully integrated into rc itself now, and assuming you already have a network setup you just need to enable the Web server in rc options.

The pdf doc supplied with rc has lots more information and help for using rc lives Web server feature.

Cheers

Kevin

I've added a couple of photos on my web page showing some of the options, the main screen shows the current racers and you can select anyone on the screen and listen to their lap times etc.

http://slngshotx.wix...#!projects/cm8a

The settings allow you to optionally listen to the following information:-
laptime
position
Gap to driver behind
Gap to driver in front
Gap to leader
Race Status i.e. yellow flag, next heat etc.

Obviously you can can have all information selected but by the time everything's been spoken you are usually into the next lap.

I'll try and do a video showing it in operation and you can hear the callouts.
