They are a different colour to normal MJKs Chas. I think they'll throw brown dust when truing.

Computers. They'll never catch on.

Under a bright light the WRP ones are slightly translucent and reddish/black rather than a dead black.

One might even say they are almost brown in colour against the light

Has anyone had any success in doing a simple and economical build with the current SCX WRC cars suitable to run in the WRP?

I can't believe that I wanted to grow up

The biggest issue with the modern SCX rally cars is parity due to the various motors.

The newer RK motored cars are quite good.

It doesn't hurt that they are ~20k motors too...

Unfortunately, the only 4wd motors you can find now are old stock, and the RK motor to the best of my knowledge is not sold on it's own.

The nearest motor is the Pro Turbo 4x4, which is also a 20k motor.

The RX-91 is a ~19k motor, and also performs similarly, but has a shorter shaft.

The Pro Double is also 20k, but has a long stack, and has more than double the torque of the other 2 20k motors, and if geared up, will demolish the others.

I think I've still got a couple of Pro-Turbo rally motors Miveson.

Bigger question to my mind is "What happened to the 2015 series?" I figured because this season had fallen into a black hole, any chance of getting it off the ground for next year was pretty well dead in the water.

Tend to agree with Lynne there a few SCX rally cars around over here Pendals stock a few of them but the motor issue is a problem i have Fiestas with 91 in, bought a Peugeot with a Escort cossie and the Peugeot has a 81 the cossi a 81B so tend to think they are bunging in these cars what they have found in stock at various times, really not sure where it leaves this proxy as regards 2016, still not finished 2015 and i think the interest is ebbing away slowly.

Imo this is still the best Proxy out there and would be a shame to lose it. I have quit most other Proxies due to this that and the other but was looking forward to 2016 WRP.

I never want to move again Phil. Most physical and stressful time of my life and still stuff in storage and days of unpacking ahead. My track is still in transit/parked on the back of a car trailer.

I'm currently spending Christmas in Qld and not home until 2nd week of Jan.

Hopefully my track will be in it's new home and up and running soon after.
