2015 Season Rules, Classes And Calender

Please note on either official practice or race nights tyres can only be treated by either the use of a water soaked rag or the

sanding of tyres. The use of WD40 or other chemicals to treat tyres is not allowed.

General rules

 

1. New brands, or models from approved manufacturers must be approved by all, before the previous meet prior to being allowed to race.

2. All cars must be available in Australia from Australian suppliers.

3. Unless otherwise notified racing starts at 7.00pm and all cars need to be on the dummy grid 10 minutes prior to the start of each class. If cars are not on the dummy grid on time the car cannot compete in that class

4. All cars must be ready to race 10 minutes prior to that particular class starting and be placed on the dummy grid. Once on the dummy cars can no longer be removed by the driver unless it is to place the car on the track to commence a heat, + All cars must remain on the dummy grid until they have completed all their events.5. If a car breaks down the driver can only repair the car during the running of his respective heat. Cars cannot be worked on during other heats as this will classify the car as a DNF and no points are allocated

5. Cars jumping the start are to be penalised one lap. All race hosts are to ensure that lap timing software is set for a one lap penalty.

6. All weight limits for appropriate classes will be enforced a 1gram allowance will be made for different scale tolerances

7. When a car deslots and this causes a second car to deslot the car which was deslotted as a result of the first car is to be placed back on the track by the marshal first.

8. The race starter is to ensure drivers and marshals are ready prior to starting a heat.

9. The track owner is to ensure that drivers are aware of the start conditions relating to the software and hardware being used.

10. Any car about to be lapped by a faster car is to allow the faster car to overtake. The best option is to call the faster car through once driving onto the straight. The passing driver should notify the car to be lapped of their intention to pass

11. All wheels must run with inserts.

1. Slot.it Group C

 

Body

Standard no modifications.

Must have wing if it comes with one.

Wheels must not protrude outside the body when viewed from above.

 

Chassis

Standard chassis as came with car. May have flashing cleaned off to allow body tilt.

No other mods to chassis.

Motor mount can be replaced. Eg Inline to sidewinder or Angle winder.

Slot.it Magnetic suspension may be used.

 

Wheels

Slot.it wheels only.

Can upsize rears to give scale look. 15mm for 17mm.

Wheel inserts must be installed.

 

Tyres

Slot It Tyres Only

 

Motor

Any Slot.it motor can be used.

V12 / 2, V12 / 3, Boxer or Boxer 2.

Weight may be added.

 

Gearing

Free Gearing ratio's, Slot.it only.

Porsche 956 and 962

Sauber Mercedes

Jaguar XJ9 R

Lancia LC2

Mazda 787

Toyota

 

 

2. GT International

 

Eligible Years 2000 onwards

 

Body

Race Liveries only although repaints allowed.

Wing must be fitted if car came with wing.

No filed guards.

Standard interior and windows must be fitted.

Can be lowed onto chassis.

Wheels and tyres cannot protrude outside body when viewed from above.

No lexan interiors unless car came standard with one.

 

Chassis

Standard chassis only.

May have sides trimmed to allow body tilt.

Guide may be replaced and hard wired in case of SCX, Scalextric or Auto Art.

Standard motor position.

 

Wheels

Standard wheels as supplied with car or plastic or metal wheels from other manufacturers that give scale accurate

appearance.

Also Alloy wheels can be used, must have matching wheel centres (Front & Rear).

Aluminium Wheels Ninco, Slot It or Sloting Plus.

 

Tyres

Any Ninco, Slot-it, NSR or MJK tyre ....... No F1 tyres

Tyres can not be viewed from above

 

Gearing

Motor pinions can be changed. Slot It crown can be used with poor meshing gears but must be the same ratio.

 

Motor

 

Standard SCX 42B, and NC 2 and Ninco NC9 Sparker minimum weight of 100 grams.

Slot It Green Motor minimum weight of 110 grams

NC5 and Slot It Orange can 120 grams.

NC1 and Scalextric no minimum weight requirement

 

Ninco GT for 2017 season.

Motors .... NC-2 and MT-5

 

Axle

Standard position rear bushings

Front axle height may be altered.

 

Eligible Cars

Ferrari 550, 360, Seat Cupra, Aston Martin DB9R, Corvette C6R. Ferrari F360, Mosler, Porsche 997, Ascari, Lamborghini

Gallardo and Murcielargo, Ford Gt and Elise Ninco

Viper, Aston Martin DB9R, Maserati MC12, Porsche GT3, Ferrari 430.

Ferrari 575, Corvette C6R, Audi R8 and BMW M3 GT

Fly: Corvette C5, Viper, Saleen Fly Racing version and Marcos.

Diablo GTR.

Ninco cars from the Japanese GT class

3. Trans Am & Classic Aussie Touring Cars Pre 74

 

Era

1964 to 1976 American Trans Am & Australian Improved and Production Touring Cars Cars that raced in this era in

Australia.

 

Body

Standard Scalextric Trans Am .... Mustang, Camaro, Cougar, Dodge Charger, Falcon and Torana SLR5000.

Resin Trans Am bodies from rmsresins.com

Phil Kalbfell - Aussie Resin bodies from era if scale correct.

Pioneer Trans Am Race cars.

SCX Cuda

Converted Cars from approved Manufacturers and 1/32 scale plastic kits.

Wheel Arch must not cover top of wheel rim.

Wheels must not protrude outside the body when viewed from above.

 

Chassis

Standard Trans Am Chassis from above manufactures Scalextric Trans Am and Pioneer chassis may be used on

Kalbfelp resin Aussie bodies,

Guide may be replaced by other brands.

Standard Side Winder Motor Position only for those using Scalextric and Pioneer Trans Am chassis.

Weight may be added.

Chassis sides may be trimmed to allow body tilt.

 

Wheels

Standard plastic Trans Am style wheels of Scalextric,

Revell or Pioneer or alloy rims of same dimentions

No fitting of 10 mm and wider low profile style late model wheels.

All wheels must run inserts to sute era

 

Tyres

MJK Tyres or original tyres only.

Tyres can not be viewed from above

 

Gearing

Standard Gearing or Slot.it Spur gear of same ratio as Scalextric Trans Am.

Slot-it kit number ...... KK04

 

Motor

Standard Scalextric Mabuchi SCX or Pioneer motors only.

 

Weigh

SCX Cuda cars must run a minimum weight of 110 grams all other cars No minimum weight limit

 

 

 

4. NC1 Classics

Original engine position may be relocated for front engine cars. Body may be lowered on chassis. Chassis sides may be trimmed to allow body tilt. Weight may be added. Original Guide may be replaced.

Resin and plastic kit bodies must use Ninco Classic chassis adapted to fit body.

 

Body

Wheels must not protrude outside the body when viewed from above.

Body cannot be altered except to produce a replica of an original race car. Photographic evidence must be produced

when doing so.

 

Wheels

Plastic Classic wheels and Racer Allow wheels (P/N RCRWR1) or similar only.

Wheels may be swapped between brands if car is being modelled on a 1 to 1 car to give scale appearance.

Photographic evidence must be submitted in this case.

 

Tyres

MJK Tyres or original tyres only 9mm maximum tread width.

Tyres can not be viewed from above

Ninco NC-1 and NC-8

BWA

 

Gearing

Standard 9:27 but Slot.it crown may be used.

Revell Lotus Cortina may use either 10 tooth pinion or 24 tooth crown due to undersized wheels.

NC-5 or NC-14

Front .... Plastic or other from approved manufacturers.

9 tooth pinion and 24 tooth Crown.

6 Open Modern LeMans Class

From approved manufacturers.

 

Eligibility

LMP, GT1, from 1994 to present

 

Chassis

Plastic chassis may be modified.

Slot.it HRS or other plastic chassis from approved manufacturers may be adapted.

 

Motor

Open motors from approved manufacturers.

 

Wheels

Plastic or other wheels from approved manufacturers.

No F1 style wheels and tyres

Air Rims are allowed.

 

Tyres

Any rubber tyre

Tyres can not be viewed from above

 

Gearing

Free from approved manufacturers.

 

Body

From approved manufacturers or resin, plastic or fibre glass bodies of scale dimensions.

Body must at least closely resemble real car it is modelled on.

Wheels must not protrude outside the body when viewed from above.

 

Maximum width

70mm

7. Can AM Classics (Pre 1975)

 

This link provides all the races and cars that took place in the Can AM class from 1966-1975.

 

Era

Pre 1975 Can AM style Sports cars.

 

Brands

Fly: Porsche 917/10, 908, Carrera 6, Ferrari 512 etc

Sloter: Ferrari 312, Lola 280, 290

Scalextric: Chaparral

Slot It: Ferrari 312B, Alfa Romeo 33/3, CHaparral, GT40, McLaren M8D (when available)

Approriate Revell Monogram and Carrera cars eg Porsche 917/30

 

Chassis

Standard but can have sides trimmed to allow body tilt.

Body may be lowered onto chassis.

Weight may be added where possible.

Guide may be replaced with another from other brands.

Standard bodies from above manufacturers.

No flaring of guards to fit tyres.

Wheel sand tyres must not protrude outside the body when viewed from above.

Standard plastic or alloy wheels. Only MJK tyres allowed.

Tyres can not be viewed from above

Any gear ratio allowed

 

Motor

MT-1, BWANC1, SL-1 slimline motor only.

 

 

 

 

8. Sport Sedan and Open Touring

 

Eligability

2 and 4 door sedan cars of any era. Includes MRRC Celica Fly Racing Capri etc.

GT Cars such as Carrera, Fly and Racer 935. Fly BMW M1 and Carrera Ferrari 512BB which do not fit other classes.

Cars can be painted in fantasy liveries. DTM, V8 Supercars. 2 Litre Touring Cars and Nascars

 

Body

Wheels and tyres must not protrude outside the body when viewed from above.

 

Chassis

Plastic chassis from approved manufacturers.

Slot.it HRS chassis.

 

Motor

Any Motors from approved manufacturers only.

 

Wheels

Plastic or other material from approved manufacturers.

 

Tyres

Tyres from approved manufactures

 

Gearing

Free ratios and material from approved manufacturers.

 

Width

70mm maximum width

 

 

 

9. Ninco Porsche 934/997 Cup

 

Eligability

Ninco 934 and 997 Porsche only

 

Body

Standard body no modifications

 

Chassis

Standard chassic no modifications

 

Motor

Ninco NC1 NC8 or NC11 only. Motor must be mounted using Ninco NC1 adaptors only Ninco guide only

 

Wheels,Tyres & Gearing

Standard Ninco 934 or 997 plastic wheels.

934's can run any gear ratio

Optional slot it rear end can be installed part number kk09b,

Tyres can not be viewed from above

MJK Tyres

 

Weight may be added.

 

 

 

10. Sideways Riley/ Dallara

 

Open Class

 

Eligibility

Sideways Riley Dallara cars only

 

Body Chassis & Motor

Standard body no modifications wheels must not protude outside body when viewed from above. Standard Chassis no modifications.

Chassis edges may be shaved to allow body tilt. Weight may added .

Motor mount can be replaced eg inline to sidewinder or angle winder. Slot It magnetic suspension may be used.

 

Wheels, Tyres & Gearing

Slot It wheels only . Can use upsized rears to give scale look. 15mm for 17mm. Wheel inserts must be installed

 

Air rims allowed .... NO F1 Wheels or Tyres

 

Tyres

Slot it rubber tyres only

 

 

 

11. Ninco 1's

 

Eligibility

Ninco 1's Mustang, Megane, Corvette Chev, Lambo.

 

Body Chassis & Motor

Standard body no modifications wheels must not protude outside body when viewed from above.

Standard inline configuration must be retained.

Ninco NC11 only

 

Wheels, Tyres & Gearing

Standard plastic wheels as supplied with car. MJK or standard Tyres only Standard gearing as supplied with car only

Standard Ninco gearing as supplied. Weight may be added.

Brass 9 tooth pinion may be used to replace existing pinion.

Alloy rims may be used but must have inserts.

 

 

 

 

12. V8 Supercars

 

Car

Any Ford or Holden V8 Supercar.

 

Chassis

Standard V8 chassis

Ford chassis to be run under a Ford body and Holden chassis to be run under a Holden chassis only

Weight may be added ANYWHERE on the chassis.

Standard body.

May be lowered over the chassis

Standard Scaley motor

 

Gears

Any 11 tooth pinion & any 36 tooth spur gear

Standard front wheels & any front tyre.

Must run Inserts

Hi guys glad to see the rules are up and clear to understand.

Did I miss it but what are the classes for this year or it still continuing on from last season of last year.

For the Porsche 934/997 was there not a rule which allowed the older 934 to have free gearing to allow it to be competitive with the more modern 997 . Or did you guys decide to remove it

Hi guys I've been reading the classes and have a question about can am.

Does my p68 still fit in this class or has that car been removed.

Still allowed Mick. By the way, is the GT MJK only or was that a typo?

 

Could be a typo, that was last week ....... got nine months to work it out, no hurry yet
