Mobbzee
just putting together a chassis for a build and i think i need help with the gears. dont really know much so i just bought a slotit 18mm sidewinder gear and had a pinion laying around i stuck on the motor(which seems to be 5.5mm D)..but they dont even come close to meshing together. so im assuming i need a different pinion. i see they come in 6.5 and 7.5 D...so is the sidewinder gear alright and what pinion size will i need cheers paul Quote http://www.auslot.com/forums/index.php?/topic/12014-mt-panorama-track/ ...My Track
kalbfellp
No Slot it pinion will mesh with the 18mm spur gear! I use the 18 and 6.75 pinion But move the motor back in the mount! If you don't want to move the motor you need a 19mm spur and 6.5mm pinion. Quote Phil https://www.hobartminiaturecarclub.com/ Email
Wobble
NSR do a spur and pinion set (NSR 6705) 11:36 - the same as Scalextric sidewinder and especially designed for them and Fly etc. Edited September 20, 2014 by Wobble
kash15394
Go for the NSR conversion gear kit for Scalextric.Easy to do and no messing around hoping something will fit.
shadow_rusty
Like Phil has said, 19mm spur and 6.5mm pinion are the standard scaley ones... These also fit the fly side winders... kalbfellp
The only problem with the NSR set is that both gears have to be changed each time you wants ratio change. Quote Phil https://www.hobartminiaturecarclub.com/ Email
