Motor Brackets

Recommended Posts

Looking forward to get hold of a couple of brackets to start getting ready for next year.

As mentioned, they can be modified as per builders requirements.

Next year is almost here.

So are we happy with the same mounts I made for miveson?

I am planning to machine them early this week.

Hi Cam. I am perfectly happy with BWA equivalent dimensions and would prefer exactly the same. If you use Solabotic motor (when allowed) you can keep motor clear of car cockpit and install full driver. This would most likely not be possible if side arms lengthened. I prefer offset.

Hi Cam,

tried to send you a PM - but your box might be full... guess you are pretty occupied in the workshop making brackets?

The brass arrived today but I'm away with work the rest of the week.

I'll see how I go over the weekend.

Quick update, the brackets are machined.

I now need to de bur, chamfer and fold them up. I am going to make a jig to make folding a bit easier and consistent.

You need a tumbler Cam.

And I don't mean a replacement for Beril.

Cheers,

Hello Cam, being a brass and wire man I would like to take five of the rear brackets off you.

When you are able please PM me your details and I will respond.

Hi Cam. I see Munter wants 5. Can we perhaps look at a NZ order then distribute locally. I would happily order another 5 if that will help.

My brackets arrived today - thanks, Cam.

Now for a "build"...about to open a "newbie" ill-informed thread.

Thanks to everyone who bought the brackets....all sold now except for some fronts.

I can do another run of brackets if required, will probably be a delay due to Christmas and another big slot car project I have on the go.

Have heard from most people who are happy, any issues send me a PM.

Cheers

Just wondering whether anyone can help me out with some dimensions for a 1:24 motor bracket.

While I'm awaiting some parts I thought I'd start on making up the motor bracket.

Hopefully someone has something similar to DM's post (#39) in this thread.

cheers

Matt
