A Few 1960 F1 Cars

Recommended Posts

Before I sent this years VRAA car off I thought I would assemble my field of 1960 Proxy cars!

All have been built since 2009 when I first entered the VRAA Proxy.

Only the Ferguson is not a Proxy car That one is the winner of our Club Series based on the Tasman Cup Rules.

The four cars on the Left are Tasman Cup cars all the rest and F1 cars.

All the bodies I have cast.

So Jealous...

So, so Jealous...

Not sure if I'm more jealous of the skills to make them, or the cars themselves...

ps. Great work there Phil, and hope they are getting faster and faster with every itteration...

Great work there Phil. I still have only three plus my Vanwall but want to build new car for 2015 Tasman Cup. Probably the Cooper Climax T79 (the first McLaren) you sold me last year.

Like the suspension detail you have managed in your latest build. Some of the cars I have seen lately appear a bit light on this aspect. Such detail however does add a bit of weight as I found with my Lotus.

They look great Phil, I would hate to guess the hours you have put in to build all those, mmm, might be easier to convince you to sell me one than me try and build my own. :)

Have you had any luck chasing up some bits for a Ferrari?

Cheers

Shane

Good to see all these cars together Phil.

Quite a few hours in this lot. I cant imagine the time spent on research alone, particularly, the Cooper-Maserati and Emeryson....then there's the Shannon too and no doubt many others.

cheers

Hi Phil,

You have some great cars there. All cast by you. Are they available through Tassie Resins? I don't see them on your website.

Cheers,

Peter
