phoeno29 2 Report post Posted August 29, 2014 hi all, I am thinking of adding a single lane timing system to the San Phoeno SS3. Does anyone have one they arnt using and want to sell ? or the electronic gurus out there want to make one up ? I don't have a pc with a parallel port, but plenty of old laptops here with usb or serial port. I can make the gantry, just looking for something I can plug in, load software and away we go. Thanks Martin Quote Find me at Card Guys for custom trading cards

kalbfellp 69 Report post Posted August 29, 2014 RC is the way to go. Download it and give it a run in Demo mode. All the info for wiring the Ardunio board comes with the download. The web cam should give no problems when set up. We are running RC on our 3 rally tracks, so far only one using Ardunio with IR sensor using USB, one with Trakmate board and the last one still on parallel. Great back up and support. kalbfellp 69 Report post Posted August 30, 2014 Martin: explore the program with out opening it, look for the data folder and there is a folder in there called Ardunio the PDF has all the info and wiring diagram. I brought mt UNO board, relay and " screw shield" ( terminal board) for around $20.00 off EBay. Using this setup you can have rally start lights, power control, timing and race control.
