SlotsNZ 115 Report post Posted February 26, 2015 And I should add - All entries received during March will receive a "goodies bag" upon arrival at the venue in Napier 1st May. The goodies bags are being provided jointly by Slotraceshop and NSR New Zealand (Tony Cook) - we are both putting stuff into the bag. branco 57 Report post Posted March 2, 2015 Hi all, I just wanna thank Slotsnz for promoting this event and doing what he can to drum up some support and keep those in the dark in the light. Now for some questions!! If I can make it I need to be on the sunday flight outta Napier that leaves at 3.35pm, will the racing be over by then? I know this can be hard to predict as the entrant numbers are unknown at this point. I am thinking that there will be 20 racers, 4 x 3min heats = roughly 20mins per heat, 5 heats per class = 1hr 40 mins (probably closer to 2 hours) x 5 classes = 10 hours of racing. Any thoughts? anyone? anyone at all? SlotsNZ 115 Report post Posted March 18, 2015 I have begun making up the "goodies bags" for the entrants in the RTR Nationals which are The weekend of 1st to 3rd May. Practice Friday 1st - till "late" for visiting drivers, and racing Saturday and Sunday. These packs are for the entrants to date, and are stuffed with . . . . oh sorry, you'll have to wait and see. I would love to be making up lots more packs for more entrants. So if you have been sitting on the fence, climb off it, and get an entry form into Chris today. SlotsNZ 115 Report post Posted March 23, 2015 As at today the accommodation situation is 3 x Taranaki hoodlums have beds at my place JK - has volunteered to entertain Branco Chris - has the 2 Palmy boys and Mike and Tom Doo - only Mike is racing, Tom is there as support crew. Munter - has monsignor sir Lord Cheeseman esquire Ross - has a bed spare for someone who showers at least weekly. So far no-one is having to pay for accommodation. charlesx 55 Report post Posted April 3, 2015 (edited) Hi all Anybody interested in entering the international proxy racing scene please get in touch. The VRAA 2.5ltre 1950-1960 F1 GP Series this year has been configured to encourage newcomers. In the main no suspension detail is required. A slightly re-configured Cartrix or Scalextric car could be a suitable entrant. There are also resin bodies available if you want to try scratch building. Just ask if I can help in anyway. See photo of my 2014 Vanwall based on Munter's version below. Regards Chas Le Breton Edited April 3, 2015 by charlesx
