jphanna
the place mentioned has a carnival atmosphere, and reminded me of dagwood dogs. to SA people, Dennis T is a legend and its disrespectful of me to shift the focus off the thread topic. maybe I will start up a dagwood dog thread on another forum, but I will cease all dagwood dog talk as of now. if dennis is a stranger to you, its not so bad, but I known him for 30 years..... Garry J
The track is owned by Reggie Coram, the extremely handsome black guy in the photos. Reggie won the Group 7 (Open class) title at the 1990 Australian National Championships at my track in Penrith and a nicer guy you would never meet. Wayne Bramble's new track on the NSW central coast is a sister track to Reggie's. If you want to see the definition of "FAST" try to take in a Group 7 race. Somebody, many years ago, coined the phrase "speed crazed morons" to describe Group 7 racers and they took up the name and wear it with pride. If you look at the race sheet for the Group 7 race the winner turned 1255 laps in 40 minutes. That's an average of just over 1.9 seconds per lap on a 155ft track with 5 corners plus the bank. Ember
Now in a place like that why would you want to be trapped inside racing slots? Unless it was nicely air conditioned and had a full bar and good waitstaff. Quote Computers. They'll never catch on. Garry J
Ember, from the look of the photos they didn't spend much time at the track. Quote Cheers, Garry J Old age and treachery will overcome youth and skill

Garry, to people who have never seen top end wing cars.......those numbers will never compute. they need to see these cars with thier own eyes, not even on a screen. it needs to be in person.......then watch the facial expressions.
