An interesting night of racing last night with a couple of new guys having their first race with us and there was some close racing mixed up with the usual carnage and laughter.Only 4 entries in Slot .It Group C and for the majority of the race it was a 3 way battle for the lead with not much more than a lap between all 3.Jason edged away to win with 137 laps, followed by Chris on 136 and myself on 134.Len was fourth with 119.The 7.6 secs breakout class had 11 entries and that was just a crashfest with also a lot of cars breaking out.Chris won with 135 Laps from myself with 129.Len just pipped Greg by a couple of metres for third with both on 125.Darren and Ben had their own battle as both were having their very first slot car race and Darren finished with 114 laps from Ben on 108 followed closely by Alicia on 105.Scott,Brett and Cam all had too many crashes resulting in mechanical problems and like Jason spent the rest of the race seeing how quick they could go and spent the rest of the race breaking out.

Excellent number of entries last night with 7 in Slot.It Group C and 13 in the 7.6 Breakout class.Jason won with 137 laps with a closely fought 3 way battle for the minor placings between Chris, myself and Mick.Chris ended up second with 134 laps from myself on 132 and Mick on 131.Bruce pipped len for 5th by half a lap, both on 120 and Tom with 101.The 7.6 secs breakout class was a mixture of the usual carnage and numerous pings but with some added entertainment when Scott's car broke down after hitting the wall and his driver came loose. When RacerX repaired the car he blutacked the driver to the boot and it managed to stay there for a few laps before falling onto the track and becoming roadkill and it soon became a contest to see who could hit it the furtherest. After all of this Chris won with 134 Laps from Cam on 131 and Mick on 130.There was a good midfield battle which was won by Darren on 127,half a lap ahead of Len also on 127,Tom on 126 then Bruce on 125 and myself on 122 and Ben on 120.Brett was next on 114 closely followed by Steven having his first race on 112,Barb was next on 105 and Scott on 86.

First race meeting for 2015 saw an excellent turnout with 11 entries for Slot.It Group C and 17 for the 7.5 secs breakout class.

Slot.It Group C was up first and proved to be a cracker with only 5 laps seperating the first 4 cars.Chris was the victor with 131 laps from Jason on 129,myself on 128 and Mick on 126.Four laps further back on 122 was George followed by Bruce on 119.Matt and James had a race long battle with Matt winning that battle on 112 and James a lap back on 111.Tom was next with 105 from Steven on 93 and Nicola on 88.

The 7.5 breakout class was split into two races. The first race saw a ding dong battle between Jay and Brad for the win with Brad throwing away an easy win by pinging too often which handed Jay the win on 128 laps from Brad on 127.Keeping them honest was Tom with 124 from James on 122.Nicola was next with 114 from Reuben on 108 and then Barb and Carmen on 100.Carmen could've finished higher except for pinging too often and the guide kept popping out of the Ford GT40 after ever wall shot that it took.Kevin was having his first race with us and had some car issues and finished with 92 laps.

Race 2 was a cracker with 3 laps seperating the first 3 cars and again it came down to who would ping the least as both George and Steven at times looked like clearing out on the field only to throw the advantage away through pinging leaving Mick to win on 134 Laps from George on 133 and Steven on 132.Jason was next on 126 followed by myself on 124,Matt on 121 and Bruce and Chris on 119

Slot.It Group C is becoming a very competitive class now and there isn't a great deal of difference between the front runners in terms of lap times.Jason won with 134 laps from Bruce on 132 and Chris on 129.Steven and myself was next on 127,two laps ahead of Mick on 125 and Greg S on 122.Darren lead home the next group on 117,from Len(whose car was getting lighter after every wall shot) and Tom on 106 with George a DNF on 73.

In the breakout class,134 laps used to mean that you would probably be the winner. Now however you need to be up around the 140 lap mark to get on the podium.Chris won with 139 laps from myself on 138 and Steve on 136.Jason was fourth with 134,one lap ahead of Darren on 133 and George on 132.The next group had a very good battle with Greg S and Len on 128(this time shedding wheels) and Jay on 127.Bruce was on 125 from Tom on 124 and Mick on 123.Nicola won the ladies battle on 119 from Barb on 102.

Nine entries in Slot.It Group C last night and with a track that had just been cleaned and resprayed proved a bit too grippy with it pulling tyres off wheels and creating carnage with cars suddenly hooking up after a slide and then de-slotting.Bruce won with 133 laps from Jason on 130 and Steve on 126.Peter D was next with 123 from George on 122.Myself and Chris were next on 120 with both of us struggling with tyres and lead wires.Matt was next with 115 and Darren on 113.

The 7.5 secs breakout class was a two car race between Chris and myself and only a couple of metres seperated us at the finish where i was just ahead of Chris with both of us doing 137 laps.Steve was next on 130 and then along way back to George on 120.Peter D spent most of the race dicing with Jason and finished with 115.Matt was next on 103 and Darren on 101 with his car being very quick when it kept it's rear wheels on and then eventually shedding the body as well.Jason was last with 99 having brokrn out too many times and spending most of his race trying to outfox Peter D.

The bar has been well and truly raised in Slot.It Group C with new records being set last night.Fastest laps were in the 7.3 secs and 24 lap brackets and a race record 140 laps(running on rubber tyres).Peter D won by a 1/4 lap from myself, both on 140 laps with Jason a lap back in third.Murray was fourth with 136 from Bruce on 132.Mick was next with 127,two laps ahead of Steve.Darren headed up the tailenders with 117,two laps ahead of Len and George and Tom was last with 110.

The 7.5 secs breakout class was carnage central with one car even losing it's body.Even in this class now you have to reach a lap total of 135 to 140 to have a chance of winning.Chris won with 137 from Murray and myself on 135.Len headed up the next group that avoided the carnage with 125 from Tom on 122 and Mick 119.The bottom half of the field were involved in trying to take each other out after breaking out too often.Peter D headed this group with 111 from Darren on 103,Steven 88,Jason 86 and George 71.

Last night's racing turned out to be a battle between Jason and myself over the 3 races with no one else getting close to us.Slot.It Group C was the second race of the night after the JK F1 race and this race was basically 4 races in one with a two car battle at the front,a 3 battle for the last podium spot,a 4 car mid field battle and then the tailenders.Jason and myself were never seperated by more than a lap all race and it came down to the final bracket where a small mistake from Jason handed me victory with 139 laps and Jason on 138.Murray,Mick and Bruce had a great battle for third with Murray just beating Mick for 3rd with 131 laps and Bruce was fifth with 129.Seven laps further back was the midfield battle which Steve won with 122 from George on 121 and Darren and Nicola on 118.Matt was best of the rest with 111 from Tom on 109 and Len on 103.

The 7.5 secs breakout race was again a two car race between Jason and myself until a mid race break in concentration saw Jason breakout a couple of times and throw in a few crashes as well saw myself win with a record 141 laps from Jason on 134.Another 7 laps back was Darren and Len on 127 and Mick a further lap back on 126 and Tom another lap back on 125.Nicola was next with 120 from Barb on 106,Steve on 91 and Matt on 80 both having mechanical problems.

Competition in both the Slot.It and the 7.5 secs breakout classes is becoming very competitive with the first 7 cars in Slot.it completing over 130 laps and the first 6 in the Breakout class also did over 130 laps. For most of the race in the Slot.It class there was only 2 laps seperating the the top half dozen cars until a couple of crashes caused a few problems to some of the front runners leaving myself to clear out to a 3 lap lead and win with 139 laps from Jason,Steven and Murray all on 136 with George 2 laps back on 134.One lap further back was Bruce on 133 who was a lap ahead of Chris on 132.Garry was next with 126 from Nicola showing some good speed with her new car on 122 from Tom on 106,Mick on 103 and Len who retired in the first bracket after a hit with 11 laps.

The racing in the Breakout class was just as intense with Chris looking to run away with the race untill being caught up in a couple of accidents late in the race to only win by 1 lap on 138 from myself on 137,Steven on 136 and Murray on 135.Jason was 2 laps further back on 133 with Mick on 130,one lap ahead of Garry on 129.Tom was next with 123 from Nicola on 120.Lean and George brought up the rear having lost laps through pinging too often,Len with 118 and George on 103.

Eleven entries in Slot.It Group C and it was a two car battle at the front with Chris winning with 141 laps from myself on 138.The battle for third was a beauty with Steven getting it on 131,one lap ahead of Bruce and Mick, who in turn were a lap ahead of Jason.George was next with 126,one lap ahead of Gary.Tom was next with 109 from Matt on 100 and Murray who only did half a race on 68 due to talking too much and missing his return to the track after a bye.Sixteen entries in the breakout class and after weeks of people pinging too often and then just deciding to crash into other cars it was decided to have a limit of 3 pings and you are out!Chris and Jason had a ding dong battle and the winning margin to Chris was 5.5 secs. Both finished on 138 laps.Mick was next with 134 followed by Reuben and myself on 131.Len led the mid field battle on 129,one lap ahead of Gary, with Brad a further lap back and Tom who was a lap behind Brad. There was a gap back to Steven on 122 and then a bigger gap back to Mel on 114(always nice to see a lady racing with us),who was a lap ahead of Michael.Jordan and Matt was next on 98 with Matt having problems with wheels falling off!Jamie was next on 82 and George pinged out on 51.
