Shivers Gazza did some sheep get in the way. You are behind me. Pretty good for both of us but still behind Mel/OTFS.

Having spent a couple of weeks in Coffs with young Mel, I can tell you that the best place to be is behind him, if your in front he's always dropping things and asking you to pick it up, only fell for that a couple of times

Thanks to all for running this event. 2nd place in a heat is my highest ever finish in 3 years. Many thanks to the gentleman who tuned my car...it was a wreck last year, almost a certainty for the lantern rouge. Gary

Ranking of the first 3 stages is added to the score

#81 265.18+36.108+89.544+121.443=512.275(mobbzee's addition) +1+3+1=517.275(scoring table)

ok....im not sure what is the point of adding the extra's...wouldn't happen in a real rally....but its your race so its not for me to say

Apologies to all, the spread-sheet only had the correct total for the first row. I had not managed to check through the posts until now so didn't realize - feeling a bit sick right now.
Just to be sure I am sending the sheet to Miveson for cross-checking.
Again, a thousand apologies...

Leo

PS: - Calmed down a bit now and have compared the sheet totals with Mobbzee's figures and they are the same so its as Mobbzee shows above. Sincere apologies to all.
(and great thanks to Mobbzee)

Leo

Series points updated - thanks for the update Leo (and don't worry it's happened to the best of us) - you got the results up pretty quickly which is a great effort considering the amount of racing involved.

We are all hoping that 36 cars are sent on to the next round :) Big gap opening up at the top.....

Sub competitions have produced some interesting updates with the Aussies closing in on the Brits. The French have finally been knocked off the podium but for how long?

Sorry perhaps I am seeing things or do not understand but OTFS has got less points than me from R3 but came 4th and I was 5th. Some others also look a bit suspect.

Please advise.

I am expert at counting to 39, although paranoid about it.

it has to do with adding the placing numbers (eg. 3rd, 7th, 5th and 21st) to the total rally time gained....makes no sense to me but thats how its done

Not sure I understand how or why placings seem to be added in. I thought it was about times.

Anyway, congratulations on an excellent round Leo.

believe i dont mean to upset anyone.....it doesnt matter to me being dead last........

but on miveson's sheet it has tucker down as tenth place.....didnt he come in the top three..
and i have penny as 8th in my add up yet she is down as 26 on miveson's sheet...

?????

it hardly seems fair that penny pitstop has the 8th fastest time across 4 stages but comes 26th....i just dont get it...

dont get me wrong its a fantastic job the hosts do, such a hard task and very time consuming...big kudos...but this scoring thing needs a bit of a look at in my book

Fixed up....

I'll take responsibility for that - I sorted round spreadsheet by name and inserted finishing positions - some names were different which caused the mismatch. It's the drugs - honest officer.

Hi all. Now have points system sorted and reason for my beating Mel/OTFS. Final points are total laps plus finishing position in first three rounds. Even though he bet me overall by 4 laps I bet him in 3 of 4 stages so this takes this into account.

Will give me a better appreciation in future.

Quick question, why is the placing in the 4th round ignored?
Also, what's the reason that they are added at all?

Personally, I really don't mind, just curious as to why these decisions were made...

Thanks again for running the round...
Congrats to the podiumites...

ps. Not too sure how I'm managing to stay in the top 10, but there you have it...
