Final results, congratulations to Team Captain Slow, Rod and Greg. (I Jumped ship into Team Soapy to make up a 6th team).

Big surprise was Roly Robot, a couple of ring in's from Canberra & JJ. They drove a fabulous race and dialled into the track very quickly...well done.

SCX Nascars were very good on the whole, copped a flogging and were fun to drive with only a few problems.

Big thanks to all who attended especially the travellers and Rick for chipping the cars.

Some of the dicing with a pack of 6 cars on 3 lanes was memorable, definitely a different and very fun way to race slot cars.

All entry fees will be going towards MCN expenses.

Cheers,

- Cam

Congrats to Rob and Greg on your well deserved win...

Was a really close battle between us and them for the first 5 hours...

Unfortunately, the early start forced Mitch and Myself to run a little slower in the final hour, and we definately became the "Rolling Roadblock" our team name was meant to be...

Massive thanks to JJ for joining us and being our No. 1 driver...

Thanks Cam for the hospitality and the great track...

Thanks Rick for organising the event.

Thanks to everyone else for the great racing and atmosphere...

It was a VERY fun day, even if it was a very long one for us....

It was definately fun Jason.

I tried to tune the cars as evenly as possible, the great thing with the Scorpius controllers is you can put them into learner mode and choke back the fast cars so they all run the speed on the speed checker.

All cars were then drawn out of a hat. The format seemed to work well and I would like to go for 8 cars next time, that would be really fun.

Best thing was the attitude of the drivers, no dummy spits and everyone having a good time.

Awesome photo's Gaz.

Hi Guys.

A SCX Enduro using the Scorpius System was recently held at Camber Raceway, Coniston, Australia, about an hour south of Sydney. It was pretty much an event free day,

Some missed laps but were caught by the missed lap detection feature. Were looking into this issue now. No other issues however. Even the SCX cars. With over 13,000 laps by these cars only one or two breakdowns, eg broken guide wire.

No chips failed.

All in all a great day. Good sportsmanship was witnessed with no penalties handed out.

Entry fee was just $10 and cars were picked out of a hat. All cars were tuned by Cameron before the race and "equalised" using the controllers throttle settings.

Speeds were set on a Tamiya speed checker.

Driver changes were every hour and only in the pits. You had a 3 minute window of opportunity to perform the driver change. Some teams had 2 drivers, others 3.

Everyone marshalled and there was always one marshall per corner.

Congrats to Team Captain Slow, thats Rod and crew. They really had to fight to win and at the 3/4 way mark they were coming second.

Congrats for Rustys team coming second and this was their first visit!!!!

My team came last. I usually do well with these cars but that just wasnt my/our day. Everyone had fun. We stopped briefly at the 3 hr point for a quick bite.

Tea and bickies were available all all times thanks to Mrs Cameron :)
