Well I figured it was time to add to this thread seeing that ive just recently moved from the lounge room to our unused spare bedroom.

I needed the gopro just so I could capture the small area in 1 shot.

i have the same type of dress, but in Emerald. its great RACE tactics, as the person next to you is distracted.

Justin that colour is nice, but i suspect you would be having hard time deciding what high heels to wear with that.

I try to keep the wife out of the room, but her stuff just keeps hanging around.

I haven't used the g27 in about 2 years now, it was put in the 'junk' room when we cleaned up and was never rediscovered until recently, I still need to find a place in the lounge room for it.
The Revo is an awesome piece of gear. There is actually 2 there, 1 is standard, the other is getting a no expense spared rebuild (it's just taking me forever to finish as slot cars keep stealing it's budget).

Yes I don't quite have the collection you have there kev.

Hopefully I'll find the rest of the floor this week, and can call the room my own.

I finally tidied up my workbench. The black box with the meters in it, is to allow power to be distributed from a single bench supply to various tools, at variable voltage, as the lathes and other units are happy at different voltages.

It has 7 power feeds which I thought was overkill until I started plugging things in, then realized I should have squeezed in one more. as I don't even have a spare.

Everything is on banana plugs for portability, as our club do a number of "build and race" afternoons each year, and then there's the 12 hour enduro and other "away" events.

I know what the locals are going to say "it never looks tidy like that"

And my response is -
"yes it does - at least until half an hour before you lot arrive to race - at which point I strategically throw as much junk onto the bench as possible, hide the good tools, and make it as difficult as I can for anyone to use the space for running repairs "

someone might believe me

The red number is the voltage, the blue is the current consumption - to two decimal places.
The current is the more critical detail, as when I am truing up tyres, the current consumption rises as you apply load to the drum/pad with the tyres.
It is really helpful to be able to gauge the load on the tyres - and how much they heat up by seeing it rise from the free spinning load - especially when you're doing soft rubbers, which will ball up and/or tear if you stress them too much.

The rotary dial adjusts the voltage and the switch is just on / off - except one panel where it reverses the polarity of the output.
These are the meter units, about AU$6 each
The refresh rate is a bit slow, so they don't show accurate voltage when the output dialed below about 50% input and not loaded, but near enough. Once there is load across the circuit they're fine. . . .apart from the one I accidentally hooked up backwards one day when I flicked a polarity switch on my old power board, never been quite the same since I smoked it.....

And these are the PWM controller units behind the dial knobs. about AU$7
I have tried 5 different PWM units over the past couple of years, some work better thn others, Some won't drop the voltage to zero, so I had to use diodes in the line. Others are a bit dodgy on the chop of the voltage.
