bluesky300 Posted February 28, 2014 Report Share Posted February 28, 2014 Hi everyone, I am having serious issues with the 6 car powerbase - only a few weeks old. It has 'shorted' out and gone into safe mode and will not start at all. I have disconnected all track frm either side and every time I plug it in it goes immediately into safe mode, unless I hold down the enter button in which case it sounds normal until the moment the button is released. I've had it a couple of times where 1 strand of braid falls between the rails and creates an intermittant short... You can use an old tooth brush to 'sweep' between the rails... bluesky300 Posted March 1, 2014 Author Report Share Posted March 1, 2014 That's brilliant - I opened it up and sure enough there was a piece of braid almost invisible across the tracks deep inside and hidden in the black base.
