The No 5 Peugeot 307 (silver & red) runs the latter motor (RX-81B not allowed), but the body can be changed to the earlier chassis if you have both or just change the motor, haven't seen what motor the new C4 is running so worse case is that you fit the body to a earlier c4 chassis

All other 4wd SCX cars run a different motor, this is a RX-81 only class, to keep everything uniform and simple.

Hi Gazza

You haven't pictured the Mitsi Evo in red and yellow RACC sponsored livery that Barbs and I and one antipodean ran in 2013 (and me and A N Other ran also in 2012).

Barbs and my cars both run with RX81 motors.

Please confirm this is OK.

Cheers

Dave

All of the Mitsi Lancers run RX81 Dave. They are all eligible. I think Gazza just posted some extras that he didn't show last year.

Does anyone know what motor the new C4 runs?

Edit: Sorry the above more recent C4 (A10117, Sebastien Loeb) Cracker of a livery!

The older version is the one with the RX81 motor, I think Matt. But you can always swap the motor from something else that is RX81 powered.

Thanks Ember, I'm a complete 'nub' when it comes to SCX cars - I own one which was a prize from a previous proxy years ago.

The upside is I'm going shopping for some now but don't want to get anything that can't be considered for the proxy. I was considering swapping the motors as I have a RX81 but was worried about different shaft lengths with the 4WD.

Anything that has run an RX81 over its release life with have the same length wheel base (near enough). So, you should be able to click out whatever is in the new C4 and drop in the older RX81.

If it stops raining for more than two days, I'll spray this years car up. Starting to worry a bit now!

Knee high in the allotment, Martyn? There were more than a few 'mud effect' cars this season gone. Just sayin'...
