Those legs should work well...

I believe that Craig (?TeamRedRacing?) uses the same system on his big track...

HI Guys

It's been a while since I've posted any tracks, so here goes.

DSCF7854_zpsu6moyjh7.jpg

This will be a new addition to the Bonogan valley raceway.

DSCF7866_zpsflyzucpr.jpg

This is a test track for a friend in Port macquarie.

DSCF7871_zpscqwevlf0.jpg

And this one is on it's way to Melbourne for another forum member.

All 3 are braid, who said I don't do braided tracks?

Cheers

Andrew

Thanks Andrew

The guys at BVR are ready and waiting. We will be installing 2 different timing systems to cover the different groups that race here in SEQ and what they're used to. All racing will be non-magnet...

The BVR track is due to arrive on the Gold Coast about Oct 4. Racing should commence November.

I don't think Andrew has seen it finished & the scenery was done by my 4yr old son with the wife

Great tracks at great prices highly recommend Andrew to build great quality tracks

Thanks again Andrew,

Ps, I just hosted a round of the NZ grp5 proxy and the track was awesome, technically fast and great side by side racing

Here's the latest track Andrew built.

The man himself (leaning on the car).

To say it's well built is like saying Bugatti build a nice car. The professionalism shown by Andrew in building this track needs to be seen to be believed. Almost makes me proud to call him my brother.

Almost.......... ;)

May the downforce be with you.

I decided it was time for a new track for myself, what do you think of this one?

20170313_180230_zpsln0hj4gs.jpg

I made a fish bone frame so I could lift it out of the way when I need the space, like when I build track.

I have mounted all the power, sound and timing to the under side of the track, so it stays put when I lift it.

I'm still waiting for Mr Slotcar to open up his shop so I can get some more braid to finish it off, but so far I like it.

Love your passion and track building skills. One thing I can hear distantly at meets where your tracks are used is : "under the bridge - call button".

The long crossover straight needs to go underneath the tight corner sections, as marshalling is normally not needed on the straight.

Haven't needed a track call button so far on Andrew's tracks. This design is meant to be challenging as a Club race track though, not a kids track. Actual reach for the Marshall is pretty good too, with these recent tracks needing only two - three marshalls total. Means we can race with a small group, especially in the dead of winter when it gets really cold...

There is a simple answer to that, learn to drive better and don't crash :) :)

There is always going to be that one racer who keeps crashing and stuffs up races.

Track design needs to consider ease of marshalling, a simple change from over to under is a simple fix.
