aquakiwi
Neat build, brings back memories, I had a 1/1 Chevette and smashed a headlight cover, from memory the right hand one was going to cost $650 and a left $150. A bit of flat Perspex shaped and glued saved the day. Even used to tow a small boat with it.
neil
yes some more pics please............. just love that style of front end... "square shaped head lights with the sunken bonnet",....... the GT capri's,, Escorts,,, Cortinas,,, England/ Europe had a great thing going in the 70's..... & a few of the better cars come out in my birth year "73"........ Aquakiwi... What motors where they offered with..... I'm thinking V6 would I've been the preferred option..
munter
Great to see another resin build that has been nicely completed. The Chevette was by Vauxhall and there were many, many of them on the roads of NZ. The base engine was a 1253cc motor but some builders used the slant four 2300 OHC motor that was common in the CF Bedford. Quite a few Vivas as well, had this mod done and were real fliers. I did see somewhere, a Chevette with a V8 under that big back window....It looked well done but was all space frame etc Quote John Warren Slotcars are my preferred reality
aquakiwi
I think mine had an AFX motor from memory..................no it was a 1200cc Viva mooring block.
munter
I had a Firenza with the gutless 1253cc motor...basically an HC Viva with coupe style body. I liked it but sold it to buy the wife a Fiat 131 Supermirafiori....what a dumb move that was. sunbeammadd
Ok, a couple more. Think I'll have to redo the interior in flat black. The semi gloss looks too shiny. I'll have to get some chrome foil and have a go at the rear bumper. Quote Russ
