Classes for the 2014 scale Nationals will be as

All racing will be done on the pitstop 6 laner. The Scalextric magnet GT class will be raced on the 6 lane Diggers track.

 

2014 Model Car Nationals Presented by Extremetrax NSW. General rules and regulations. Cost per class to enter is $15.

Officals and Dutie:

1. The event organiser may appoint a Race director of acceptable knowlage and experience for each of the classes.

2. The Race Director may act as scrutineer and/or Race Controller or he/she may appoint an acceptable deputy to fill this positions.

3. The race director is responsible for all aspects of the running of racses in his/her charge.

4. The Scrutineer is responsable for ensuring that all cars conform to specifications for their class and relevant general rules.

5. The Race Controller is responsible for overseeing a particular race. Initiating Track Calls,directing marshalls,ect.

 

Cars And Scrutineering:

1. Cars must comply with the specifications for their class and any relevant regulations at all times whilst racing.

2. Cars that do not conform to the relevant specifications shall be excluded from the event.

3. Cars must be submitted to the scrutineer prior or at the advertised time for the class.

4. Scrutinneers word is final.

5. The scrutineer is empowered to rule on any area of a cars construction not specifically coverd by the rules.

6. Cars will be scrutineered prior to each race/heat.

7. Cars can be scrutineered at any time or a teardown inspection at the descretion of the Race Director/Controller.

 

Impounding Of Cars(PARK FERME):

1. The event organiser will provide a safe area where cars will be impounded. Typically they stay in park ferme after scrutineering until they are eliminated from the completion of racing.

2. Drivers may remove cars from PARK FERME prior to qualifying and must return the car back after they qualify to the PARK FERME . Like wise after racing cars have to be returned to PARK FERME.

3. All cars stay impounded until end of racing.

 

Repairs and Parts Replacements:

1. All repairs and replacement components must comply with the specifications for the relevant class.

2. Any part may be replaced with the exception of the primary chassie section and the body shell.

3. All the repairs and parts replacements during the race event is subject to re scrutineering.

 

DRIVER CONDUCT:

1. Drivers and their pit crew are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.

2.Abusive,offensive or unsportmanlike conduct directed at any person will result in immediate penalties being aposed.

3. Driver are also cautioned that they might be held responsible for the actions of their pit crew.

 

Smoking: In the interests of health and saftey,there will be stricly NO smoking in the racway.

 

MARSHALLING

1. All entrants will marshall.

2. Entrants may nominate a substitute marshall.

 

DUTIES of MARSHALS

1. Clear the track of de-slotted or malfunctioning cars.

2. Re place de slotted cars without interfering with the other cars.

 

CONTROLLERS:

1. Any hand controller can be used as it does not increase the voltage or available amps to the track.

 

DISPUTES and INTERPRETATION of the RULES.

1.The race Directors decision is bound and final,and their is no appeal on the decision. P

 

PENALTIES: Any deliberate rule infraction contrived to gain a performance advantage will result in exclusion from the class.

 

BLACK FLAG:

1.The race controller can demand the removal from the track of any car wich is dragging on the track,interfering with other cars,or continually de-slotting.

2.Any car that cannot complete a lap with out de-slotting will be black flagged.

3.Cars can be repaired and re enter the race.

 

TRACK POWER SUPPLY:

1.Nominal track voltage for racing will be at 12 volts for the 32scale rtr cars ,the scx nascar also could be at 13 volts.The scaleauto class will run on 12 volts. All the Plafit racing and mjk 24 scale will be raced at 13 volts.

2.Depending on what class a higher voltage will be used .Race directors decision will be final on this.

1.1.0. GENERAL DESCRIPTION

(a) The only cars permitted to enter are:

(i) The Scale Auto Porsche 911 GT3 RSR(997). (Not the GT3 Rally or GT3 Cup versions).

(b ) It is the responsibility of the racer to ensure that the purchased Scale Auto cars are accurate, complete and without missing parts. (Including small plastic and photo edged parts.)

(c ) An original example of homologated Scale Auto cars as described by Art.1.1.0 (a) will be at Technical Control as reference for the Technical Director and Scrutineers. In the case of all disputes, the judgement of the Technical Director (or race jury) will be final and binding.

(d) All of the chassis and body parts that come with the Scale Auto cars as described in Art. 1.1.0.(a) must be used. See Rules-Pictures for additional clarification.

If a part is shown in these pictures it must be on the car according to the manufacturer's intended mounting and location. The only exceptions are as follows: Art. 1.1.3. (b ).

 

1.1.1. MODIFICATIONS

(a) It is not permitted to modify the RTR car or white kit in any way other than those parts of free make as described by Art. 1.1.1 (b )

(b ) Parts of free make are restricted to: (i) nuts, bolts, spacers and washers, (ii) the guide and guide nut, (ii) braid, braid clips & lead wires, (iv) axles (v) axle bearings, (vi) ballast lead weights, (vii)3 –dimensional wheel inserts, (viii) M50 spur gear, (ix) M50 pinion gear (check on correct size for the proposed hand out motor).

(c )Scale Auto tuning parts including the carbon H-plates, spring plates, guides holders, different height axle holders, carbon rear wings (excluding the wing supports) etc. are NOT permitted.

 

 

1.1.2. WEIGHT, DIMENSIONS & GROUND CLEARANCE

 

(a) The minimum weight for a complete Scale Auto car is 190g.

(c) The ground clearance will be measured with the guide out of play so that all four wheels sit flat on the tech block.

(d) The ground clearance at the start of every race is never less than 1.8mm.

(e) The ground clearance during or at the end of any race is never less than 1.40mm (if found to be in breach during the race, it must be rectified under green - if after the end of the race; it will result in the loss of the total laps scored in the best race bracket during the race).

(f) Additional weighting of the body can only be applied to the vertical surfaces of the plastic reinforcing strips within the boundaries as shown in this picture.

(g) The distance from the top of the H plate to the bottom of the chassis plate is never more than 4.0mm.

(h) Additional weighting of the chassis may only be on top of the chassis, NOT visible when viewed from below.

 

1.1.3. CHASSIS (only non-drop arm version).

 

(a) The chassis must be assembled with screws and/or nuts and bolts using the original mounting holes.

(b ) The chassis must be assembled in the exact manner and orientation of the production RTR car. In this instance it is noted that some RTR cars are shipped with the guide holder mounted below and other above the T-plate. It is therefore up to the racer to decide which position he prefers for the guide holder on his car.

(c) The chassis plates may be flat sanded to remove burrs, sharp edges and swelling.

(d) The original mounting holes can be re-countersunk to properly seat the screws.

(e) The original MSC/Scale Auto logo on the bottom face of the main chassis plate must remain visible to the Technical Control.

(f) The original chassis plates, parts and metal body holders cannot be repainted or refinished in any way.

(g) The length of the guide blade cannot exceed 27, 0 mm and this guide blade is the only part of the chassis that may enter the track's slot.

(h) No part of the chassis may be visible when viewing the car from above.

 

1.1.4. MOTOR, GEAR AND PINION

 

(a)MOTOR FOR THE EVENT WILL BE THE NSR 25000 Evo.

 

MOTOR LABEL WILL BE REMOVED TO SHOW THE NSR 25,000 STAMP IS ON THE CASING,IF KNOW 25,000 PRINT MOTOR WILL NOT BE ALLOWED.

(b ) Soldering may only be used to attached the lead wires to the motor terminals.

(c )Motor coolers or heat dissipating products of any kind are not permitted.

(d) Only M50 pitch pinion and M50 spur gears are permitted.

(e) GEARING 10:44 for the NSR 25000 Evo motor.

 

 

1.1.5. AXLES, BEARINGS & WHEELS

 

(a) Only solid steel 3 mm diameter axle's front and rear are permitted. No independent front axle configurations of any kind are permitted.

(b ) Ball bearings for 3mm axles are permitted.

(c) Front wheels must be either the standard hard rubber wheels with rims as supplied with the RTR cars.The Scaleauto parts sc-2715p or sc-2709p may be used to achieve the 26.5mm minimum diameter.

(d) Each front wheel must make minimum 7.5mm of contact with the tech block with the guide out of play. Front tires may be hardened and polished.

(e) Rear wheels are RTR Scale Auto SC-2421P ProComp 3 wheels with 27,5mm OD, 13.0mm wide. At events where handout wheels and tyres are supplied, the hand out wheel and tyre diameters may not be changed and must be used as supplied. At events without hand out wheels and tyres, the rear wheel diameter may be altered, provided this Scale Auto part as quoted, is used. Altering the rear wheel diameter will not void the minimum starting ride height as per rule 1.1.2. (d).

(f) Rear tires may not under any circumstances be treated with any kind of tyre dressing, or compound or traction product.

(g) Removing dirt, dust and loose rubber particles from the tyres may only be performed with a tape roll or Shellite provided by the Race Direction.

(h) All four wheels must be fitted with three-dimensional wheel inserts (with or without brake discs and callipers) correct to the car. (No photo edged or vinyl cut reproductions will be allowed).

(i) The wheels may not protrude outside of the body when viewed from above.

(j) No car can have a front spur greater than 80mm or rear spur greater than 83mm, measured at the widest point of the front and rear axles. (This includes any protruding wheel inserts that may be fitted).

 

 

1.1.6. BODY & INTERIOR

 

(a) All bodies and interiors must be painted. (Interiors with at least three different colours and bodies with at least a coat of clear paint covering the complete outside of the body shell).

(b ) Fantasy liveries in the spirit of 1:1 motor sport are permitted.

(c )Three number shields typical of 1:1 motor sport are required.

(d) The stock rear wing uprights only may be replaced or reinforced with rubber parts of equal or like shape. The Scale Auto Carbon Rear wing may not be used, but the rubber wing mounts supplied with these wings may be used. (Should a wing go missing or get broken beyond repair a replacement part may be purchased as long as it is the original part as sold by Scale Auto. For example the BMW part number is SC-7612 and the Mercedes is SC-7614 etc).

(e) All the cars are permitted to use the full Scale Auto Lexan window and interior kits. Only the roll cage from the original hard plastic interior must be refitted to the lexan interior.

(f) Mirrors and wipers on some cars are very fragile and cars will be allowed to race without them when it is obvious that the mirror(s) has broken off. Drivers are encouraged to present cars with mirrors and wipers at the start of all races

(h) No modifications of the body are permitted other than those described by Art. 1.1.6(a-e)

 

 

1.1.7. ADDITIONAL NOTES & CLARIFICATION TO RACERS.

 

(a) Metal body mounting brackets SC-8117 can be used in place of the plastic part as first shipped on the Porsche 911 RSR GT3 cars in early 2010.

(b ) Only Scale Auto lexan interior and window kits may be used where allowed. (The air vent - photo below - that comes with the Audi lexan window and interior kit is not allowed).

(c ) The gas filler caps in the Mercedes that are molded into the lexan windows should be trimmed away so that the original plastic filler caps are used. This principal will also apply whenever a lexan part may be moulded with corresponding external body parts restricting the figment of the lexan window.

(d) When fitting the lexan interior the legs of the roll cage may be shortened to be able to fit it into the space between the lexan interior floor and the roof of the car. Currently this is only the case on the Mercedes SLS.

(e) The BMW Z4 white kits are supplied with four small front winglets, these may be used at the discretion of the builder. The body kit is also supplied with two different rear wing mounts. Either of these may be used. However, if the mounting legs are replaced with a flexible material, the secondary wing between the mounting legs must be retained.

(f) Racers are warned that cars with missing parts will not be allowed to enter. (Even if it was lost during practice or on the way to scrutineering).

(g) During lane changes no work on the cars at all will be allowed - work on the car may only be done under green.

KYOSHO MINI-Z GT RULES

 

 

1.0 BODY

1.1. Only Mini-Z Hard Plastic GT Bodies which are listed on the official body list are

allowed to be used. No street cars, race cars only which have to feature at least

two race numbers and some typical modern GT Car race sponsor logo decals.

1.2. White unpainted body kits can be used however all kit parts have to be included

during assembly. Body has to be painted and decaled.

1.3. All body detail parts like mirrors, windscreen wipers, wings etc. have to be

retained on the body at all times.

1.4. Rear wings can be rubber mounted. Aftermarket mirrors are allowed.

1.5. Ford GT has to have rear wing (AR-086 or AR-090) fitted.

1.6. The body holders (both sides and front) for the Kyosho display chassis can be

removed and sanded. No other part of the body can be sanded, lightened or

modified in any way.

1.7. All wheel arches are not allowed to be sanded and/or widened.

1.8. A two piece driver interior (vacuum formed with separate drivers head) is to be

used. The interior has to cover all windows and open cockpits. No chassis parts

are allowed to be visible. Half sized interiors are allowed and rear window plus

both rear side windows can be painted black from the inside.

 

2.0 CHASSIS

2.1. Plafit Excel 1300 and Plafit Super24 1700 only (no 1700G, GTC, GTX and SLP versions).

2.2. All Plafit 1300 and 1700 chassis system parts can be used except 1700G and

SLP parts. Plafit 3309, B and C in combination with 1705G/S/K can be used.

2.3. No chassis parts mixing between 1300 and 1700 chassis systems.

2.4. Chassis has to be adjusted according to the body and its dimensions, making

sure that all wheels are covered by the body when viewed from above.

2.5. Chassis set-up has to be done only within its design limits and only with the

original accessories i.e. changing spring tension or the amount of chassis/body

movement etc.

2.6. All original mounting points and basic configuration must be retained.

2.7. No chassis modifications other then within its design limits.

2.8. No soldering allowed to hold motor into position. Only motor screws are to be

used.

2.9. Body tape or plastic strip may be used to hold lead wires in place.

2.10. Additional weight may be added as long as it is placed on top of the chassis.

2.11. Chassis springs, spacers and/or additional screws and nuts may be substituted,

added or removed.

2.12. Plafit flat body mounts can be used on both chassis in their intended position

either as additional weight or for body mounting.

2.13. No mount plates protruding into wheel arches however minor re-shaping of the

flat body mount plates for proper body fitment is allowed.

2.14. No Traction Magnets.

2.15. Chassis blue-printing is allowed. No excessive sanding for weight reduction !

 

 

3.0 GROUND CLEARANCE

3.1. Minimum 1.0mm under the entire chassis including gear.

 

 

4.0 FRONT AXLE

4.1. Solid 3mm one piece non-independent only.

4.2. Any 3 x 6mm oilite axle bushings or 3 x 6mm axle ball bearings.

 

 

5.0 FRONT WHEELS

5.1. Any 3mm axle diameter aluminium wheels. Minimum diameter including tire is

21.0mm.

5.2. Minimum wheel/tire width is 7mm. No independent front wheels allowed.

5.3. Any black tires, sponge or rubber.

5.4. To retain true-to-scale appearance the wheel diameter is determined by the

individual wheel arch size of the body used.

 

 

6.0 REAR WHEELS

6.1. Any 3mm axle diameter Aluminum Wheels. Minimum diameter including tire is

22.0mm.

6.2. Plafit Black Magic Sponge Tires, Plafit Rubber Tires (labelled) as well as

Scaleauto ProComp3 Sponge Tires are allowed to be used.

6.3. Use of Goo and/or any other tire softener, liquids etc. is not allowed. Cleaning with

Tape or Shellite only is permitted.

6.4. To retain true-to-scale appearance the wheel diameter is determined by the

individual wheel arch size of the body used.

 

 

 

7.0 WHEEL INSERTS

7.1 3D Wheel inserts have to be used at all times.

 

 

8.0 REAR AXLE

8.1. Solid 3mm metal axle only.

8.2. Any 3 x 6mm oilite axle bushings or 3 x 6mm axle ball bearings.

 

 

9.0 GEARS

9.1. Any plastic 50 pitch spur gears for 3mm axles.

 

 

10.0 PINION

10.1. Any 50 pitch.

 

 

11.0 MOTOR

11.1. 13D Plafit 8635 Fox II Motor

11.2. Original lettering "Fox II” has to be visible.

11.3. Sealed Motors are not to be opened or modified in any way.

11.4. Any lead wire.

 

 

12.0 WEIGHT

12.1. Minimum total car weight is 165g.

Platfit Super32 GT Cars

1.0 BODY

1.1. Only 1:32 GT Cars made from hard plastic which are nominated on the Official

Homologation List classified in two divisions are allowed.

1.2. Bodies which feature black no-see-through windows and no driver interior are not

allowed.

1.3. Bodies which feature tinted windows and have a driver interior are allowed.

1.4. Body kits can be used however all kit parts must be assembled. Unpainted kits

have to be painted and must feature a typical Modern GT race livery.

1.5. No major body modifications such as changes to wheel arches or shortening of

under body parts are allowed.

1.6. Original body mounting posts on the body inside can be removed.

1.7. No replacement interiors. Only the original interior the car came with is to be used.

1.8. Existing plastic interiors can be modified just to clear the chassis however the

interior and any other detail has to remain in place to cover all windows.

1.9. Under body front spoilers (fenders) and rear diffusers have to be retained from all

four relevant wheel arches and fitted to the body. This applies especially to body

kits where these parts are not included. Additional plastic chassis plates (original

to the relevant car) are then required to complete the body.

1.10. All original outside detail parts like mirrors and rear wings are to be used at all

times.

 

 

2.0 CHASSIS

2.1. Plafit 3300 Super32 in 3mm or 3/32" chassis versions.

2.2. Chassis has to be adjusted according to the body and its dimensions making sure

that the guide and all wheels are covered by the body when viewed from above.

2.3. All Plafit 3300 chassis system parts can be used.

2.4. Chassis springs, spacers and/or additional screws may be substituted, added or

removed.

2.5. All original mounting points and basic configuration must be retained.

2.6. No chassis modifications other then within its design limits.

2.7. Flat body mount plates can be reshaped to fit both sides of the body.

2.8. ACE Carbon replacement guide holder can be used.

2.9. No soldering permitted to hold motor into position. Only screws are to be used.

2.10. Body tape or plastic strips may be used to hold lead wires in place.

2.11. Additional weight may be added on top of the chassis only.

2.12. Nylon Guide Nuts can be used.

2.13. Plafit 1717A Stabilizer Kit or parts thereof may be used.

2.14. No Traction Magnets.

2.15. Chassis blue-printing is allowed. No excessive sanding for weight reduction !

 

 

3.0 FRONT AXLE

3.1. Any solid 3mm or 3/32" only. No independent front axles/wheels allowed.

3.2. Any 3 x 6mm or 3/32" x 4.75mm oilite axle bushings.

Any 3 x 6mm or 3/32" x 4.75mm axle ball bearings.

 

 

4.0 FRONT WHEELS and TIRES

4.1. Any Plafit 16mm diameter aluminum wheels which comply with the minimum

dimensions may be used.

4.2. Any hard sponge (sealed / non-sealed) tires which comply with the minimum

dimensions may be used.

4.3. Minimum tire diameter is 18.0mm.

4.4. Minimum tire width is 7.0mm.

4.5. 3D Wheel Inserts related in design to the actual car have to be used at all times.

 

 

5.0 REAR WHEELS and TIRES

5.1. Any Plafit 16mm diameter aluminum wheels which comply with the minimum and

maximum dimensions may be used.

5.2. Plafit Black Magic Sponge Tires only. No other brands allowed.

5.3. Minimum wheel/tire diameter with hard rubber and sponge tires is 19.0mm.

5.4. Maximum wheel/tire width with hard rubber and sponge tires is 13.0mm.

5.5. Use of Goo and/or any other tire softener, liquids etc. is not allowed. Cleaning with

Tape or Shellite only is permitted.

5.6. 3D Wheel Inserts related in design to the actual car have to be used at all times.

 

 

6.0 REAR AXLE

6.1. Solid 3mm or 3/32" metal only.

6.2. Any 3 x 6mm or 3/32" x 4.75mm oilite axle bushings.

Any 3 x 6mm or 3/32" x 4.75mm axle ball bearings.

 

 

7.0 GROUND CLEARANCE

7.1. Minimum 1.0mm under the entire chassis including gear for non-magnet racing.

1/24 Plafit Historic Can-AM HISTORIC CAN-AM and SPORTS CARS NOTE: Concourse will be judged but there will be no points system for results.

 

1.0 BODY

 

1.1. Only 1:24 true-to-scale vacuum formed Lexan Bodies representing historic Can-Am Cars as well as historic Sports Cars and Sports Prototype Cars listed on the 2012 Official Body Homologation List. No other bodies are allowed.

1.2. Minimum body material thickness is .010”.

1.3. Cut out and mounting of body has to reflect the actual 1:1 car.

1.4. The presentation of the body (paint design, decals and additional detail parts) has to be as realistic as possible to a 1:1 car of this time.

1.5. A minimum two piece driver interior (vacuum formed with separate drivers head) to be used. Interior has to cover all windows and open cockpits. No chassis parts are allowed to be visible.

 

 

2.0 CHASSIS

 

2.1. Plafit Excel 1300 or 1300U as well as Plafit Super24 1700C.

2.2. Chassis has to be adjusted according to the body and its dimensions used making sure that all wheels and the guide are covered by the body when viewed from above.

2.3. Maximum polar length (distance back side of rear axle to centre of guide pivot point) is 114mm.

2.4. Chassis set-up has to be done only within its design limits and only with the original accessories i.e. changing spring tension or the amount of chassis/body movement.

2.5. Nuts, screws, springs and washers are free to choose.

2.6. All original mounting points and basic configuration must be retained.

2.7. No further chassis modifications other then within its design limits.

2.8. No soldering allowed to hold motor into position. Only motor screws are to be used.

2.9. Body tape or plastic strip may be used to hold lead wires in place.

2.10. Additional weight may be added as long as it is placed on top of the Chassis and is not protruding outside the chassis edges.

2.11. Chassis blue-printing is allowed. No excessive sanding for weight reduction !

2.12. The Front Chassis Plate Excel 1304C can be shortened only above the two long holes which fit the Front Axle Bracket in order to fit low-front bodies. However both long holes must be retained entirely.

2.13. All 1300 Excel Chassis system parts can be used except 1307C, -CB, -CC, -CD (Flat Body Mount system) and 1314B (front Chassis Weight Plate).

2.14. Only the 1700C Super24 Chassis RTR standard parts can be used which are : 1701J Main Chassis Plate, silver 1703B Guide Holder, long 3309C Bearing Holder +1.0mm, front 1705G T-Plate, blue 1706 Body Mount Plates 1707 Body Slide Mounts 1708 Motor Bracket 1709B Bearing Holder +0.5mm, rear 1710 Subframe 1711 Motor Stay

2.15. Only these additional 1700 Super24 Chassis system parts can be used : 1701 Main Chassis Plate 1703 Guide Holder 1709 Bearing Holder, rear 1709C Bearing Holder +1.0mm 1709D Bearing Holder +1.5mm 1710B Subframe +6mm 1710C Subframe +12mm 1710J Subframe, blue 1710T Subframe with Adjuster 1710BT Subframe +6mm with Adjuster 1710CT Subframe +12mm with Adjuster 1717A Chassis Stabilizer Set Type A

2.16. Flat Body Mounts cannot be used.

 

 

3.0 GROUND CLEARANCE

 

3.1. 1.0mm under the entire chassis including gear.

 

 

4.0 FRONT AXLE

 

4.1. Solid one piece 3mm diameter axles only.

4.2. Any 3mm oilite bushings or ball bearings.

4.3. Maximum front spur width is 79.0mm but never wider then the body used.

 

 

5.0 FRONT WHEELS / TIRES

 

5.1. Any Plafit 17mm diameter Alu Wheels. Minimum tire diameter is 22mm

5.2. Any Hard Sponge Tires non-sealed.

5.3. Minimum tire width is 7mm. No independent front wheels allowed.

 

 

6.0 REAR WHEELS / TIRES

 

6.1. Any Plafit 17mm diameter Alu Wheels. Minimum tire diameter is 24mm.

6.2. Plafit BM Sponge Tires only, maximum tire width is 16mm.

6.3. Use of Goo and/or any other tire softener, liquids etc. is not allowed. Cleaning with Tape or Shellite only is permitted.

 

 

7.0 WHEEL INSERTS

 

7.1. 3D Wheel Inserts have to be used on all wheels at all times.

 

 

8.0 REAR AXLE

 

8.1. Solid metal 3mm axles only.

8.2. Any 3mm oilite bushings or ball bearings.

8.3. Maximum rear spur width is 79.0mm but never wider then the body used.

 

 

9.0 GEARS

 

9.1. Any plastic 50 pitch spur gears for 3mm axles.

 

 

10.0 PINION

 

10.1. Any 50 pitch 10 T only.

 

 

11.0 MOTOR

 

11.1. Only 13D Plafit Fox II Motor.

11.2. Original lettering “PLAFIT FOX II China” has to be visible.

11.3. Sealed Motors are not to be opened or modified in any way.

LMP/GT1 PROTO Open Rules:

 

NOTE :EVEN THOUGH IT IS AN OPEN CLASS THE CAR MUST STILL LOOK LIKE A RTR 1/32 SCALE CAR .

 

AXLES FRONT(Total width of wheels must not exceed the original set up)

1.Must be located in original,un-modified front axel holders.

2.Stabelizing of front end is allowed.

 

AXLES REAR(Total width of wheels and axle must not exceed the original set up)

1.Must be located in original un-modified rear axel holders.

2.Ball bearings are allowed.

 

BODY:

1.NO sanding of wheel arches to allow for room for tyres to fit.

2.The body can NOT be modified in any way.Exception on the Nissan R90 where the gear hits on the air duct

3.Any screws can be used.

4.Any body that has a wing can have rubber added as struts to stop the wing from braking off.

5.Painted liveries are allowed making sure all parts are used. Race numbers in at least 3 places.

SCX NASCARS

 

AXLES FRONT: (Front width of wheels can protrude .5 of a mm outside the guard either side of original set up)

1. Original front axle.

2. Must be located in the original, unmodified front axle holders.

3. Side play may be adjusted by adding axle washers.

 

AXLES REAR: (Rear width of wheels can protrude .5 of a mm outside the guard either side of original set up)

1. Original rear axle and bushings only. No ball bearings.

2. Must be located in the original, unmodified rear axle holders.

3. Side play may be adjusted by adding axle washers.

4. Note some rear ends stick out past the guards when cars are purchased,this is allowed as long as its no more than 1mm either side.

 

BODY:

1. Only original unmodified SCX NASCAR style bodies are allowed.The exception on removing the bearing holder supports that come down from the body front and rear.

2. Rear wings and mirrors must be mounted on the body in the original position before the start of the race.

3. If the rear wing becomes detached during the race, in must be re-attached before the start of the next bracket.

4. Mirrors, aerials, chipped or lost wing pieces don’t have to be re-attached during the race.

5. The windows must remain as original and in place at all times.

6. The body must not be altered in any way, and must be at least 0.5mm clear of the track surface.

7. Only very minor sanding is allowed to allow body rock.

8. All the body screws must be in place. Any screws may be used. The screws may be left loose.

 

CHASSIS:

1. Only the original unmodified SCX Classic chassis is allowed.

2. The chassis and body must be from the original car as first purchased.

3. Adding weight to any part of the chassis is allowed.

4. Reinforcing or gluing parts of the chassis such as axle bushings, motor mounting posts is allowed.

5. NO MAGNETS ALLOWED.

6.SCX Pro nascar's are banned. SCX cot or aero cars only.

 

GEARS:

1. Original drive gear.

2. Original pinion gear.

2. Only a 9 tooth pinion is allowed.

 

GROUND CLEARANCE:

1. Minimum .5mm clearance under the entire chassis and body at all times.

2. Any tyre changes or repairs must pass another Tech Check before the car can re-enter the race.

 

GUIDE:

1. SCX guide ONLY.

2. Any lead wire.

3.Any braid.

4.Hot Glue or Gluing guide up to have good power connection is allowed.

 

INTERIOR:

1. Original unmodified interiors must be in place at all times.

 

MOTOR:

1. ONLY the RX-42B 19000 RPM SCX motor, SUSPECT MOTORS WILL BE CHECKED.

2. If the motor came with a motor wrapper type label, it must not be tampered with or modified in any way. (i.e. no venting)

3. The motor may be secured by soldering a motor brace or gluing it to the chassis without disturbing the motor wrapper.

4. The crimped motor can tabs holding the end bell must not be tampered with, otherwise it will be disqualified.

5.The copper links between the motor and guide maybe soldered to avoid any chance of loosing

a good connection.

6.soldering of lead wire from motor tabs to rails is allowed.

7.motor cradle can be glued or taped.

8.Resistors can be removed.

 

WHEELS FRONT: (No silicon tyres!)

1. Only original SCX tyres or MJK’s are permitted.

2. Sanding / truing front tyres is permitted.

3. Tyres must touch the track surface when placed on the track.

4. Original rims only.

 

WHEELS REAR: (No silicon tyres!)

1. Only original SCX tyres or MJK’s-4230's(20.5x9.8) are permitted.

2. Sanding / truing tyres is OK.

3. TYRE TREATING, CONDITIONING OR SOFTENING IS NOT ALLOWED. Tyre shore hardness may be checked against original packet standard tyres.

4. Original rims only.

THIS IS A MAGNET RACED CLASS. MAXIMUM DOWNFORCE READING ON THE MAGNET MARSHALL WILL BE 350.

NOTE YOU CAN ONLY RUN 1 MAGNET,BUT CHANGING OF MAGNET IS ALLOWED AS LONG AS IT FITS IN ORIGIANAL

POSITION AND DOSNT EXCEED 350 DOWNFORCE.

 

NO HIGH IMPACT CARS ALLOWED IN THIS CLASS.

6.Light shave of body is allowed to stop body catching on chassis.

7.Posts can be sleeved for more support and strenght to prevent breakages .

8.Painted liveries are allowed as long as all parts are used and 3 numbers are in place on the car.

 

Chassis.

1.Only the original unmodified Scalextric GT style chassis is allowed.

2.Adding weight to any part of the chassis is allowed.

3.Gluing of bearings and gluing motor in is allowed.

4. Slight shave of the chassis is allowed to top from catching on the body.

5.Post holes can be opened up to stop screws catching.

2.Any lead wire.

INTERIOR:

1.Original unmodified interiors must be in place at all times.

 

MOTOR:

1.Original unmodified 21,500rpm slot.it group C motors only.

2.The motor tabs holding the end bell must not be tampered with in any way,otherwise it will be disqualified.

3.Cars that came with the 25,000rpm motor can change them to a 21,500rpm motor.

 

WHEELS/TYRES FRONT:(NO SILICON TYRES.)

1.Only original slot.it group C tyres are permitted.

2.Sanding gluing and truing is allowed.

3.Tyres must touch on set up board when checked.

4.Original rims only.

 

WHEELS/TYRES REAR:(NO SILICONS TYRES.)

1.FOAM TYRES ONLY. SLOT IT/NSR PART NUMBERS 9024 AND 9025/SCALEAUTO SC-2009P

2.Sanding gluing and truing is allowed.

3.original rims only.

4.TYRE TREATING, CONDITIONING OR SOFTENING IS NOT ALLOWED.

NSR CLASSIC

 

AXLES FRONT:(Total width of wheels and axle must not exceed the original set up)

1.Original front axle.

2.Must be located in original,un-modified front axle holders.

3.Side play may be adjusted by adding axle washers.

 

AXLES REAR:(Total width of wheels and axle must not exceed the original set up.)

1.Original rear axle bushings only.

2.Must be located in the original,un-modified rear axle holders.

3.NO BALL BEARINGS.

 

BODY:

1.NSR Classic body only.

2.Painted liveries are allowed.Numbers have to be in at least places on the body.

3.Srew posts can be sleeved for extra support to prevent breakages.

4.If the car comes with the dummy spare wheel it must remain in the car as it come.

 

CHASSIS:

1.Only the NSR classic chassis for the make of car be used(Porsche to Porsche etc.)

2.Adding weight to any part of the chassis is allowed.

3.Reinforcing or gluing parts of the chassis such as axle bushings,motor mounting posts ect is allowed.

4.No chassis magnets are allowed.

 

GEARS:

1.NSR GEARS ONLY.Gear ratio is 11/32.

1.Original un-modified interiors must be in place at all times.

1.Un modified small can shark 20,000rpm motors only(comes standard in all nsr classic cars).

2.Side winder set up only.

3.The motor may be glued or taped in.

4.The motor tabs must remain intac,any tampering will result in diqualification.

5.Motor lables must be intact.Orange 20,000rpm.

 

WHEELS/TYRES FRONT:(NO Silicon)

1.Any front tyre.

2.Sanding/truing tyre is permitted.

3.tyres must touch the track surface.(allowance will be made as these cars released the fronts do not always touch the set up board.)

4.Original rims only.

 

WHEELS/TYRES REAR: (NO Silicon)

1.FOAM TYRES ONLY....NSR PART NUMBERS 9024 AND 9025/SLOT IT/SCALEAUTO SC-2009P

2.Sanding/Gluing and truing is allowed.

3.TYRE TREATING, SOFTENING OR CONDITION OF ANY KIND IS NOT ALLOWED.

4.Cleaning with shellite ONLY is allowed.
