32coupe
I had a 2.4m x 1.8m sheet of particle board, so I decided to build a rally track. I got some copper tape off ebay, got the router off my brother and went mad with a pencil on the board. I gave it a coat of some left over white paint just to help seal the wood, gave it a good sanding down and went for it with the copper tape. I am using my test bench power supply at the moment and just had to get in a few test laps before I get carried away with the ferador. shadow_rusty
That looks like a lot of fun... Can't wait to see it in the flesh... You need to have it running for the next club meet... lol. 32coupe
Hi Embs Not to good so far, way too slipery, the only car I have that will even make a lap is an SCX 4wd. I need to paint some Ferodore on it to get the grip level up a bit. I'll see how I go after work today, but it is still a lot of fun. Ember
Dulux suede... So much easier to use than ferradore. Quote Computers. They'll never catch on. rsclio
If it's a rally track you want some slip I used Stone & Suede on various sections then painted over the top with std exterior acrylic Quote Cheers Mike Diamo Stages
shadow_rusty
Try lowering the voltage to about 9v... And agreed that rally tracks should be slipperier and harder to drive... Vinno
You might find it will start to work better after it rubbers up too. If you can make a lap though as you mention.
32coupe
It's only got undercote on it so far, that's why it's so slippery. It was leaving white powder on the tyres. I have put a coat of Feradore on it now, so when it dries I will be able to rubber it up and have lots of fun Edited April 16, 2013 by 32coupe Quote A man without a woman is like a neck without a pain. waytofast
i think you should display this at the national gallery. it would nearly pass as an aboriginal tribal painting.
32coupe
Damb, you figured out where I got my inspiration from............. Well a man and a router are a dangerous combination, I figured as I got the wireing for the cross over down pat now, Id add a few more. I had a few tight corners that closed even tighter on themselves, and the cars had a hard time getting around so I turned them into cross overs. Sports Racer
Have you finished a lap yet or do you have to keep stopping to get something to eat so you don't starve? Quote May the downforce be with you.

32coupe
I've got it all sorted now, I spent the day building a frame on wheels so I can move it around and it flips up so I can store it up against a wall. I'm powering it from my jump start pack, it works great. Quote A man without a woman is like a neck without a pain.

32coupe
I've been bitten by the track making bug now and have to build another track, so if anyone wants a rally track this one is up for grabs now, so I can make room for the next creation.
