In the three shot, there's me on the right, Craig in the middle ( his track) and Mario (FPV GTP) on the left.
In the two shot, there's Mario again and Kai (mohawkk) holding jimmi's car that he managed to drop 3 times, bloody butter fingers

One thing Gazza what "grit" did you use on Ben's tyres?
Do you use the same in all your setups?
:D

One stage does not make a proxy. Give it a couple of rounds before you tighten the noose ;) Then we can talk. :D

That bench tyre truer is similar to the one that I used at home.

Hi Guys and Ladies . Finally got everything done . Hope its right as I was a tired boy today getting home not that long ago and having a sh1t of a day at work. Should have pulled a sickie.
So here are the final results

Posted Image

Congrats to FPV GTP(Mario) , Alexis and Mario's son Marcos . Got to admit there cars were great to drive as were many of the others .

A lot had out right speed but didnt want to corner how many times I would come to near a dead crawl to get around them. As I said before I have 2 tight corners and this is where time was lost.

Jonnynobber , your car was good to drive ,problem was it just wanted to tip over most of the time . Your car would suit a track that didnt have curves tighter than mine. Even opened it up to see where you put your weight thinking it may have been put in a place thast made it top heavy.
This is only the first round people so dont get discouraged yet there is a long way to go yet and as I say in near every Proxy ,it may not work on my track but be great on another track . Then again it could be sh1t all the way around :P
It was a pleasure to run this and again thanks to Gaz ,Mario, Mel and Kai as well as my lovely wifeTracey who kept us fed through the whole 2 days . So now the cars will be packed up and shipped over to Rnd 2 in Canada at Lufs Track.
By the way to the other hosts , leave yourself plenty of time . Start as early as possible this is a long day.
Cheers Craig

We're off the mark - great to be going again,. Thanks all for a huge effort. :D Let's see how it all shakes out.

Thanks for the names to faces, now all up on "Wales most wanted" posters. Border guards have been briefed.

Ben, your wasting your time with 20hp tyre truers. Just superglue one tyre to the desk. Works a bloody treat.
To improve driver skills, follow up by poking solder in your left eye. (although that one still bloody hurts a week later).

guys, thanks again for this long day of hard work on our cars. I am in the middle of the C4 pack if you remove Mtucker and Dimas. I will need to ask them some tips on the tuning of the C4!!!

Congrats Mario, Alexis and Marcos for a flying start.

And a huge congrats to our organising team for getting another season up and running. Good trigger work Craig.

0.007 seconds behind 8th place! Did you leave a speck of dust in the way?

I see Jnr Miveson is still well ahead of Dad. Go Fuzzy!!

Here is the points table for Round 1 - I've decided on a rather dull colour scheme this year black/white and grey.

Posted Image

And of course it wouldn't be the WRP without some alternative battles between the car manufacturers and the competing countries:

Posted Image

No real surprises that Australia and Greece are battling for country honors as per usual.

The French made cars are a bit slow off the line trying to defend their manufacturer trophy from last year.

Looking forward to the next round.

And yes Fuzzy beat his dad this round (will I ever hear the end of it), my cars have never liked the first round but at least at the moment I'm doing better than last years position #38. Still plenty of time left to re-live the dream of 2012.

Embs and I have a side bet on the final result and once again she's in front - a carton of Australia's finest beer to any host who accidentally drivers over Ember's car with either a car, lawn mower or hammer.

Thanks for the effort of getting the series started boys. You can now have a rest until they return later in the year.

Congrats to those up the pointy end. Could be a good year for the blue Oval!! (Not that im helping much)

Many thanks to Craig and team - very efficient event.

I can't hide my dissapointment with my car - was convinced it could be a midfield runner, with hopes for top half.

Congratulations to all who have been able to acheive what I was aiming for.

Great Driving Craig, thanks for putting me up there, 20th o/a Brilliant!!!!

11th on stage 2, only a handful of seconds behind Gazza and Tuckerman at that!!

Shame I lost 20+ secs on the 1st stage, or I'd have been up there!

BTW, Craig, you can call me anything you like

0.007 seconds ahead of Embs, never in doubt I would take that place. I am nearly happy, 5th fastest lap time, so my car has speed, hopefully cope even better on the hopefully slightly less tight circuits to come.

Thanks for speedy efficeint running and roll on Canada.

Nice work gents thanks again for the round.
With average time being only 0.6s from fastest I'm guessing my car drove OK just a second or so a lap too slowly.
Mark
Fuzzy got you by 10 spots and me by 2 Matt got me by 11 spots though!!
Just say you did all the work on the car - thats what I do
Should North Korea be in front of France?
No leave it that way other wise you never know what may happen - I hear they are watching this very closely
Cheers
