kalbfellp
If possible I would like to run Shelmore Round on the 23rd if the cars are here by then? Quote Phil https://www.hobartminiaturecarclub.com/ Email

charlesx
Track length and times look a little out for Southern Loop track. 81' = about 24-25metres not 9m. Think it would take metal car to do times as well. 2.6secs!!!!! I imagine times would be more in keeping with other track times quoted. Stubbo
The 81' is an error. The track is only 9 meters. Quote Alan Stubbings
charlesx
Ta Alan. Certainly looks more than 9m. 81' was Cheltemham track I think. Looking forward to start. Have the last cars arrives yet. Think there were 2-3 to go. Regards Chas Le Breton
charlesx
Hi round hosts. Can we have pictures of the other tracks please. As far as I am aware only first two have appeared to date. i..e Cheltenham Park 6.860 Gotham Park 6.416 Semaphore Park 4.775 Marsden Park. 4.708 Regards Chas Le Breton
Terry
Last year 3 runners got into 4.7 something,Mmoose,Biedmatt and Ferrari1950,all using DrV motors, most popular tyre here is Paul Gages' tyres, urethanes pretty much rule here at Marsden Park, although the NSR's do well here also, but in our club racing we do not run NSR. Be interesting to see what car will win out here, last years race was a cracker with the top 3 being so close. Hope the pics show my track okay, its a sweeping layout, the lap record non mag is 4.0 something,my GP5 Lancia presently in the North American GP5 proxy did a 4.17 in testing before being shipped out, independant fronts are an asset here. kalbfellp
Gotham Park when it still was Shelmore! Gotham Park our old track that belonged to Dave and myself, before being sold to Bruce.. The surface is Dulux Satin Enamel, well rubbered up,we only run rubber tyres down here. Timing and race control are by Trakmate, using IR sensors and transmitters. I think the lap lenght is around 62 feet. That pic is around 5 years ago when the track was still in my shed. The spare power supply and the one for my new track can be seen about the middle of the pic sitting under the edge of the track. The supplies are very " clean" with 4 filter capacitors and regulation is by 3055 transistors,24 I think! charlesx
Thank you Terry and Phil. What is the name of your track please Terry (Marsden Park I think). Both are great looking tracks. Going on your comments Terry it should be interesting battle. Will be interesting to see how Stubbo, Slo1quick, Mike Akers, Old23 and Phil go this year as well as they both appear to be right up there.
