Another Rug Racer And Proud Of It...

Recommended Posts

That looks so cool... That's a very nice layout.

The advantage of a track that size is that there are less pushing and shoving...

Not none mind you, just less...

True! We do this three or four times a year. Three different homes we go to. Each room is a different shape so the layouts are never quite the same.

Been a while since I remembered to take a photo / create a layout of the tracks I've done...

Here's one I did with my best mate today...

Very fast with the 2 magnet cars I have left, but needed more straights and R4's / R3's instead of some of the R2's for non magnet cars...

Built this cool track at my Brothers yesterday...

Must admit, I want to steal a few of his bits... (pb6, curved crossovers, banked corners, etc...)

Had some fun testing my analog cars again tonight...

The pioneer motor in the Carrera GT350 is now going great...

The SCX RX-41 and RX-42 motors in my classic rally cars are slowly starting to come good...

More Testing...

Seems my slower cars are starting to get up to pace..;

Now I just need some mjk's for each car and they should be all good...

Thanks Sigmaman... You really need to try the 3x Curved crossover 'chicane' section...

If everyone thinks of it as a large sqeeze section, there are a lot less accidents there...

Built a LARGE (approx 25m) track in my brothers garage...

It was so much fun, and even though it's the same parts on the same power supply, the size of it just made it feel so much better than the tighter tracks I have to build at home... You can see just how much I need R3's and R4's...

Also, I couldn't get enough of the full throttle down the straight...

I had fun tonight with all of my analog track...

It was a lot of fun, and definately showed up any weaknesses the car may have...

This used up every one of my scaley sport pieces...

Built a small fun track tonight...

Was a lot of fun...

Even with the long straight, only the 15k rpm cars got up to full speed...

Built an oval tonight... It was fun with the truck, and my new Ninco Porsche 550 which turned up today...

Couldn't quite get a tri-oval happening in my small lounge room...

Built another smallish fun track...

Very biased to the inside lane, so was probably a good thing I wasn't really racing anyone...

Nothing wrong with smallish tracks. Thats what most of mine are. A well thought out small one is still a blast.

Agreed. Although I really do like a nice long straight. Especially for magless cars.

Absolutely loved this track...

It was just so even, and having that long straight was nice too...

There was just a great balance between technical, open, drifting, and driving easy...

It is definitely on my remake list...

Built another track at my Dad's a couple of weeks ago...

It was definitely a little more challenging than some...

And it rewarded clean driving...

Had some fun at my best Mate's place the other week...

We built his Scaley 'Thundering V8's' track, and it was definitely more challenging that I thought it would be...

Hey Rusty, thanks for the invite, if you could let me know where next weeks... meet ...is I'll see if I can make it to that one.

Scullin is a bit far for a first up meeting, also could you let me know what kind of cars you race. I have just started getting

into slot cars (Carrera 1/32) so I'm just a novice. Have a great day, Gary.
