Hello from Spain!!

I've developed a lap-counter and chronometer for Android. Its name is "Slot Car Trainer".

For now you can use it for training, because currently it only works with one car.

This video shows a little demostration and how to configure it:

You can download it from GooglePlay for free.
It is compatible with any analog or digital slot track.

Test it and donīt hesitate to send me any question or suggestion.

Best Regards.

Calibration for my track was a little difficult, but it works well now that I've got it working right.

Nice job.

Hey Dabeon,
Idea for future pro version (which I have bought) would be user / car settings so you can record different users / cars, obviously not at the same time but to be able to keep historical data for different users / cars.

Nvmrye,
Pro version keeps historical data / statistics and has lap time to speech, you can also set more laps (free version limited to 12)
Cheers Grant

Hello Ember.

Yes, with some track layouts the calibration process can be difficult.

Thank your for your patience :).

Hello "Quakers".

Currently I don't know the "IPhone" language.

Android Apps are "Java" based, but iPhone language is Objective-C.

Regards.

Had fun mucking arround with this tonight...
Digital messes it up though as you can change lanes...

Other than that (which is totally expected) it works really well.

Quaker Slot. There is a iPhone ap that does a similar task. Don't know its name though. Uses a designated "live" field in the camera view to register a car.I'm sure DangerMouse posted a thread about it when he found it.

Pretty sure I read something about Oracle having a Java toolkit that allowed apps to be written once and deployed on Android, iPhone and iPad

The app I found is Sprint Timer http://www.appmaker....dex.php?m=8&s=0

Not sure if it counts laps I think it just records time

cheers
David

I have used sprint timer, the version I have does not actually record the number of laps, only each lap times. But there is an update ready to down loan today.

Hello.
I've finished the new "1.3" version. In some hours it will be available at Google Play. It contains most of the received request (rest will be available in future releases):
  • Improved stats to Excel™ {PRO}
  • Stats after race aborted
  • Stats: Car and driver {PRO}
  • Yards and mph
  • HO scale (and others)
  • Correction of bugs and texts
  • LapTime-to-speech Formats {PRO}
  • Text Zoom.
  • Android 4 Action Bar
Don't hesitate to ask me for any doubt/problem you may have.

Hello.

A new release of "Slot Car Trainer" is available since last weekend.

I've added a new game mode ("drag") for acceleration races at straight line tracks.

Other new features are:
1) Fixed bug in Android 4.0.x (the "?" character appeared after zoom-in/zoom-out).
2) More acute sound after fastest lap.
3) State of "LapTime-to-Speech" is saved.

I expect you enjoy it.

You can download it from Google Play.

Hello.

The new release of Slot Car Trainer is here!!

I needed more time than I thought, but, two month after, the new "Two Terminals" mode is available.
1) "Sectors" Mode: Divide your circuit into two parts and check the times you do in each one.
2) "Race" Mode: You can finally compete against another car. At the end of the race each driver will be able to check its statistics.
3) "Drag" Mode with reaction time: How long it takes to react from the green light?

In addition, the new version includes:
1) "Fastest Lap" Sound is more differentiated.
2) Welcome Screen retouched.
3) Solved received errors.

I expect you enjoy it.
