A bit of sunny day fun with a camera and a rally car. It needs sound effects.

Great work Embs. The wet mud and grasses look real

Didn't think of it Mel. I could've used my Escort muddy.

It's His Lordship's car. At least now I know why the silver paint is disappearing from the armco.

I love those ferns! Great work Embs.

I think more about slot cars now than I did about sex when I was sixteen.

Thanks all. Not sure how I should go about adding timing to the stage. ;)

Those ferns are great, where did you get them? just about to start doing little details like that on my track, I don't like to plagiarise, but that suits the dam I my track perfectly.

The ferns are a laser cut paper kit by Kamizukuri. They come in a sheet like this

And with patience, paint and time (and some choice words occasionally) become this

I got mine from HobbyLink Japan, but only because my regular hobby suppliers didn't have stock. The price itself was cheaper from Japan, but of course the difference was eaten up by shipping. Worked out fairly even on price in the long run. I'd dearly love to be able to get a bulk supply of them without having to pay the $$$s, but the only option there would be a small-bed laser cutter.

If you are running that Ford you could try an egg timer

Well given that the main track has no timing system the ol' "One Mississippi... Two Mississippi... " might be the go. :)

Actually Mel, the Focus worked out to be a fortuitous shelf grab to check size and clearance. It's the rally car with the fattest arse. Even the Ninco Evo fits between hummock and wall with a bit more room to spare. SCX cars all fit through quite nicely, with the exception of the C2 which is a little low.
