ntz
Hi to all!!!! I'm Yannis the driver of the 2nd stage!! First of all I'd like to thank you for the opportunity you gave to us to host a rally proxy in Greece. I have to say that I'm amazed generally by the the level of perfomance of the majority of the cars, bcs we don't usually play with scx cars and we didn't expect such perfomance from these type of cars. Congratulations to all the participants and of course to the podiumites!!!! Good luck for the rest of the championship!!! Now, I would like to clarify in some odd - as they seem results- results. The ss2 is my favorite in the club, and as you can see in the photo it is consisted of medium and tight parts. Usually "monsters" of speed don't behave good in this track. You need a well balanced car to perfom good. On top of that, there is one section (the upper section with the bridge) which is very technical and difficult and the marshalling is very difficult. There, as you can see in the photo Alexis posted, almost all cars had at least one deslot, even the car of Alexis, which is very strange, bcs it is prepared in this stage... . The other thing that happened, is that some cars really had big problems with the braids. Although before starting in all cars I was watching the braids, that didn't help at all in some of them. That's why you see for example 1 deslot but time at the bottom end, bcs in reality I was "pushing" the car and not driving.. Well, it looks as though the roller coaster continues, fourth in first stage and towards the bottom in the other two. I am slightly curious as to what happened in stage two as the best lap was decent and only 1 deslot but still way down the list. I am guessing you were able to repair the braid issue? Congrats to the podium finishers and much thanks to Alexis and crew for the speedy round. Regards Rico I hope I answered your question before. Your car I remember, bcs it was really nice car to drive....on 1st and 2nd lap...then the braid problem occured and it really slowed it down....That's why you see 1 deslot (the electricity problems are not deslots), 1 good time but not so good ss2 time. I totally missed post 35. Yannis, if you ever find yourself in Wales mate, you won't have to buy a drink all weekend! Yassou, efaresto and last but not least, aspro patos! Thanks a lot!!! I really liked your car...stable, well balanced, enough motor power (although I would prefer a litlle bit more power). Your car was one of the few that was passing the upper loop without problems. I remember that you had a lot of weight on the back, at least the car felt like it in my hands. That's the reason why your car perfomed well, but also it's the reason why your car couldn't beat the best lap time in SS2. The weight gave me confidence to have consistent lap times, but I couldn't push to the limits, bcs I was flirting with deslot. Hope you like the Pendeli round and good luck to the rest of the championship!!! slotcarmann
Well done to Alexis and team, that was a big challenge getting through all stages on the one day. Also well done to those on the podium overall and for the stages, plus the points scorers. Another disappointing Round for the Manx car, but there's always Italy....and it hasn't dropped anything overall, although Embs is close on my tail again...! Graham Lane
I've just got back from two weeks holiday in the South of France. Fabulous villa with a pool in walking distance from a superb beach. All courtesy of my wife's ex-husband. Yes, you read that right. He and his wife invited me and my wife plus his daughter, her husband and their five-month-old daughter (who live with us) together with our two great Italian friends Attilio and Anna Maria. Anyway, I didn't expect to have internet access so left all my passwords at home. I did manage to follow the great Rally of Greece though. Fantastic job by Alexis and his crew! I'm also delighted with the results for Team Umbria and pleased that my third place in the shake-down translated into a third place on one of the stages. Up a place to 9th in the championship too, can't be bad! Right, now to start the thread for Round 12...
