Shakedown,1 lap recycle. Photos later. 14v, tyres taped, braids adjusted and if necessary cleaned by my 13 yr old son,and then car warmed up at 7v while it predecessor runs.

Overview - there is going to be two very distinct groups in this round.those that can get round the track and those that cannot. In ter,s of shakedown times if your under 18 seconds you are in the first group, over that you are in the latter group. Anything over 25 seconds and I am not going to enjoy driving your car!

Anyway, here are the results and comments
Car number, time and comment

7, 17.55, slidey, lose back axle and need to drive cautiously round hairpin
50, 21.68, cautious driving round hairpin required and 1 off
52, 26.32 cannot get round hairpins
40, 17.05 fine
44, 17.09 fine
35, 15.64 excellent
56, 26.2 won't go round hairpins
66, 14.98 car grew up on track, not the fastest motor but very stable
84, 17.35 slidey
3, 16.24 fine
4, 20.16 ok just 1 off
33, 23.32 slidey and 1 off
14, 19.75 extremely fast but does not like 1 corner and 1 off
13, 15.61 good but bit slidey
9, 16.5 fine
88, 28.6, no grip and does not like corners
83, 16.31 bit rough and runs on 3 cylinders but ok
17, 21.99 very slidey and cannot go round the main hairpin
96, 26.82, very slidey and a difficult drive, 3 offs
74, 16.41 ok but a bit edgy
5, 16.54 slidey but fine
2, 16.57 fine
64, 28.93 quick but won't get round corners 3 offs
43, 16.76 better than it should be
53, 16.15 fine
56, 21.79 slidey and 1 off
55, 16.22 fine
54, 15.54 quicky but edgy
22, 20.68 hairpin problems and 1 off
1, 15.51 excellent
10, 16.47 ok once motor warmed up
12, 16.03 ok but motor is all or nothing
8, 16.35 slidey but fine
46, 15.58 nice
58, 14.84 best time of the day, stable good grip and good motor
26, 24.33 slidey and intermittent pick up issues
21, 24.01 does not like hairpin 2 offs
47, 21.8 does not like the hairpin 2 offs
72, 17.08 slidey but ok
11, 16.46 could be better, motorhas nothing low down
51, 17.23 slidey bit spluttery
6, 15.98 fine

Those with issues are mainly front end related - tyres too big and braid too hard are their main problems.

I am going to run stage 1 tonight and base on 18 second laps so run each stage as 11 laps.

Looking forward to running quite a few cars but dreading some!

Matt

Oh heck, either my eyesight has gone or your slipped on a typo - I can't see my car, number 59

I've got a spreadsheet with all the entries, numbers, country etc etc if you (or any other event runners) want it posted. It'll save you yonks of typing. Sorry Matt, I meant to say last Sunday but forgot.

Have a great weekend running the event it's a great laugh! see you at Pendle on 4th or 5th or whenever it is,

Thanks Matt

Great to see it back on track, so to speak, judging by some of the shakedown times, it's going to be another tight one at the top

You should have negotiated a better price with your son ....... i told you it was a friggin long event

Don't forget to have fun and enjoy the event , also keep the 4 focus in the top five as well ;)

Kids ,they do anything for you if theres money involved. Tell him if he last the distance he might get paid. Good to see the pugs in the 15's . Not to happy about that parked one on your track. Glad to see that gods name has been painted on the track even though he drives a Citroen. He's French ,what can I say. Have fun guys .
Cheers Craig

Thanks Mark, that makes it a bit easier to read.

Going to be another tight one by the shakedown list. And wow how much does the Rokmat entry suit that track! That's a blinding lap. One expects it from the track host entry, but not necessarily from visitors.

I see Craig, Dave Capelen and I are close to inseparable again. Though I note Craig at the lead of that pack only rates a nice compared to Dave's excellent.

Looking forward to seeing how the first stage plays out. I'm excited!

Wow an unexpected result from my car :) :) :)
The weird thing is though, I have no access to plastic tracks so I was a bit concerned.
Bring on the stages!!!

What the h*&% has happened to my car? Before the UK rounds it was a top 10 car on all the tracks with varying surfaces and now suddenly it can do no better than 30th. Did I read somewhere where someone adjusted screw settings? Perhaps mine are not quite adjusted correctly? Would it be ok if someone checked mine for proper adjustment?

Rico

Brama is suddenly back up there again. What is it with that car? And a little battle with LPV and Conti Rowland.

Will check screws Rico - there are lots of the track to catch the unwary but as I am driving those are not the issue unless you don't have grip in which case I can't avoid them! For instance there is a boulder next to one corner, you hit it a 8/10 your out. However there a 3 corners that if your front end ain't perfect you will struggle to get round. However I expect better stage results from both Rico and the man from Greece as both of these stand out in motor performance and Alexis has excellent grip.

Stgae 1 results - very close at the top. Not one car completed all 11 laps without coming off so there is time to make up.

Bugger. OK. Ahead of Craig and Dave. Not all bad. Also ahead of some more experienced players. Definitely OK. Though less than brilliant.

I hope most of it is fun Matt.
