I'd kind of like to see the defending champion driving the defending car. Would be interesting to be able to judge the improvements others have managed to make.

Lynne you destroyed any chance i had to blackmail the organizers. :D

On the other hand even if i ever decided to race an Octavia again it would be a brand new car ,the old one will enter the hall of fame,i wont even remove the motor.

Alexis - you really should be running a Subaru in 2013 with at least a 20g handicap....

He forgot to add Zero grip tires front and back and no crown gears ^_^ ...yup no crown gears :D

Yup. I'm a bitch like that. :D

Really though, wouldn't you be interested to see how the new flock of cars line up against the previous winner? Even if it was only sent along as an accompaniment and didn't actually compete.

Can I have number 99 please.

Only if you stick a cadbury's flake out of the sunroof Lee.

Either that, or you fancy giving the Afrikaaners a right good hoofing with the rugby boys.

(youre a bit young Lee, so have a look at

)

I like the non-competing comparative run of last years winner - maybe write it into this coming year's rules. Your not just a pretty car maker, Embs ;o)

(ok, I was trying to work "maker of pretty cars" in with "not just a pretty face" - backfired a bit though. Ah well.)

The C4 was allowed as was the house brick sorry Subaru, but they had to run the RX-81 motor

The reason the Fabia is excluded, even though it fit's in the 1999 - 2010 years, is because the SCX version runs a shorter wheelbase and a different motor, the RX-91B, and the only way to fit a RX-81 motor to it is to cut the shaft down, and that's not in the rules ....... the standard shaft length must remain unchanged!

Okay now understand, thanks. :)

Why not allow an exception(cut the shaft) just for the Fabbia.I have a  for Skoda cars (having been a Favorit owner for many years) and i wouldnt race an Octavia again.Or should i use this argument as a blackmail basis? :D

What happening with the tyres situation?

If we are going to use scx tyres the best thing to do would be get hold of all available scx tyres, pool them together, put all the good ones in one pile and the rubbish ones in another and share the good ones out between the entrants. That way everyone may end up with one good tyre on their car and 3 rubbish ones!

Where you position the good tyre is up to you!

Damn, I dropped from fourth place to 55th..

By the way, put us down for the same cars as this year. It's the most likely.

Sorry Gaz, yep I'm in, No 24 if it's still available pls. I did know that the Ford Escort wasn't valid for the event, don't have any SCX rally cars with the RX 81 motor but for the price this car was and the price of the motors by themselves (when you can find one) I thought I'd grab it and it might actually have a decent RX 81 in it. Still on the lookout for for a valid car for the proxy though.

cheers

Hello Auslotters.... Finally I break my moratorium on signing up to additional social networks and am pleased to be joining here. My showing in SCX WRC'12 has been pretty horrific but that's proxies. I take some comfort in the fact that someone has to be last... so it's an important job fulfilled - still puking though. Regardless of the criteria, could someone put me down for an entry next year please - I'm a sucker for punishment it would seem - maybe this year? A return to mid-table [ish] would be a step forward! Possible #13 as entry if not taken {EDIT oop's sorry Ember.. I'll stick with bad-luck 88 then, just read the whole thread!!!} seems appropriate. While here, thanks to the organisers and hosts for WRC'12, for me... it's not been a lot of fun seeing 88 crash&burn however, we travel in hope.

Best to all - Bob, aka Highlander B)

Hi Graham,

No, literally have been holding off signing up to anymore sites as my email inbox is a horror story of spam. The SCX Escort "Pilot" REF 63760 I have IS 4WD and RX-81.
