Cheers for the big turnout tonight. Not so sure that the Legends are suited for a big open track like mine, but they were fun to run nonetheless.

Personally, after the series is over, I’d be keen to move to alloy rears and decent tyres for these cars - or even just good tyres if we can find something suitable that fit the stock hubs.  Seems a shame to run these honeys under their full potential.

BRM do nice NASCAR inserts that will look the goods if we move to alloys and I would be happy to get a bulk lot in if that’s the consensus going forward. Alloys and good rubber is an easy fix within everyone’s reach.

That’s my 5c but, as always, happy to go with the flow.

Here are the results from the Legends, and the table after 2 rounds. I had the final lap segments on paper, and they separated everyone into a clear order.
Mac is head and shoulders above the rest - except for marshaling, where he and Ryan are about tied ......

Thanks for a cool night Mac.  (& Pip)

More close dices on Thunder Road..

Yeah I'd be open to a control tyre /wheels for the legends. ( if open we'd all chuck F1's on I'm sure )

I’m sure there are a few of those NSR rims we used to run on the Fly Capris that could be repurposed.

That’s a sad series of pictures there, e hoa.  I always enjoyed that track and it’s ownership history.

Yes it is Mac

It was a very very hard decision  for me to make but as there wasn't  anyone in club that could take it, it just had to happen in order for me to move on with other plans

Given that my shed is no longer a slot cave I will pass the piebone trophy onto Pedro as he is another holder of the title from the last piebone400

Peter, I will drop it into you one day during the week on my way passed

Sad to see it go. Some good memories from there. Thanks for the times we did have!

also looked at my Legend last night and seemed to have fixed the problem, back axle is now stable, so hopefully it will be good for this week!

Shame there were no takers Dave.  But least we know you have the mad skillz to build another one  - one day

Racing the Fly Capris on your track was my favourite class.  Another good memory was winning a Group 5 proxy heat driving my own entry lol.

Found some old pics ...   good times....

Yep there are some great memories and great pics Pat. Love the classic nascar line up.

I really need to get that 55 chevy up and running again

I really didn't  want the black widow track to end this way and it was a very hard decision  that I had to make. Circumstances dictated that it needed to go one way or another, unfortunately it came to the another

Yup.
Just to pre-warn, I will probably depart 2.87 seconds after we complete Legends racing, for the proverbial tea and toast, as we are 3 part knackered, and 4 parts stuffed, after completing clean and refurb of 2 rentals in under 3 weeks.
