Snake, if you’re out there it is 506A Kennedy Rd, the back house. Down the side of the double garage and in the door at the back.

Just a heads up Snake. It's a complex track. So anything over an 18k motor has no hope of staying on the track *wink* *wink*

Unfortunately all of Snakes cars have 40+k motors in them so he’ll be just fine

I just picked up a Pioneer legend. I know there has been some discussion about racing these  at some point. I'm keen if we are.

Are we thinking stock but we can swap out the plastic gear and put decent tyres on them?

Mine I changed the guides because they were pretty sloppy, standard tyres, replaced the gears - 1 tooth less on the spur.

As you know, I am keen. I have that mixed dozen coming ....slowly.... with some planned double-ups to ensure I had a set for lane colours and some of each model spare, and will grab one for each lane colour for myself, then the rest are available for anyone in club who wants one at whatever they land at - about NZ$80

I'd like to play with one or two before offering any opinion on what we do to them, but tyres and the gear seem pretty logical - and if the guide is sloppy, do we replace it? I am at a loss what alternate tyre might work or fit.
- or does Mr 3D have a suitable "sleeve" solution for the guide
- or is there a stock brass tube we could sleeve to keep mods and cost down.

Would it be worth getting Munter to make a silly mold and churn out some urethanes? They would probably give all the grip we ever want, easy to true. Low cost.

These are what I grabbed if anyone is thinking of one
Tony Cook has one of the dark blue Gulf cars available, which looks gorgeous.

I will take 2 Mark and guide adapters will be a cinch.

I’ll grab one or two more when they land too. Thanks Mark.  I will check out some tyre options tomorrow / see if the stock ones hook up.

We need a week 6 at the moment to break the same class on the same track scenario we have currently.

Maybe these with a house class and a track hosts pick from the other 5 weeks

I'll host this week as I am away for the next two. That will change up the roster as well:

Week 3

1 Aussie V8

2 Fly Classics

3 LMP

Agree with you, Pedro. A Thunderslot Mustang could be a gamechanger.

Let's talk about classes / intro of Legends when we get together on Thursday. I set my one up today on stock tyres with new guide and pinion/ gear. Has enough grip to be fun to drive but it's a hard ride when you're used to soft, silky Ultragrips/ N-22s.

Change of topic.

Is anyone in the local group going down to the “Thunderslot Challenge” next month.

I am thinking of road tripping down in South Island again.
