SlotsNZ 115 Report post Posted August 12, 2020 Question do we still race at Oakland tomorrow. We re-opened at Macs at level 2, but there was a bit more space around marshalling and we were fairly certain that HB had no community spread as things were winding down What are others thinking? SlotsNZ 115 Report post Posted August 13, 2020 11 drivers tonight. A lot of close dices, more than the results indicate. A special mention to Roscoe1, for performances par excellence, as requested I thought guys might like to see their best lap times, which we don't often look at First up BTCC Then Muscle Car And last, Sports 65-80 - Didn't get much in the way pf pics, they are moving too fast and all blurry - beggar me Quote My Track Oakland Raceway V2 HMBRC Club Website
SlotsNZ 115 Report post Posted August 14, 2020 One mystery solved. - The malfunctioning track power relay on Oakland. For some reason, the "wallwart" power supply that plugs into the Trackmate board, had fallen out of the power supply splitter board mounted on edge under the track. That left the Trackmate board only receiving power to function from the 10 metres odd of USB cable to the PC. Trackmate can run off of USB power, but does not get enough juice that way to trigger an auto relay. There is also some voltage drop in a 10 metre length, which was undoubtedly the reason the Trackmate board fell over 2 heats into the first race. - It is a miracle it never fell over again during the evening. The cause for the power supply falling out of the power socket is best not discussed in detail in public, as PETA or some mad cat ladies may be watching. He is asleep, and I shall deal with him later. Can I interest anyone in a one owner, only slightly damaged Tonkinese with many breed specific canine habits. - Can walk on leash, fetches - erratically, - comes with "back to base" homing upgrade - 80% functional - He is not too fussy, he eats almost anything, furniture, socks, IOS cables, candelabra, track lights, trees (only 1/32nd scale), people - 1/32nd and full size, and about $30 of pet food a week.
