MOPARGREG 4 Report post Posted February 9, 2012 Hi everyone, Ok here is my near finished Richard Petty 1972 Charger. I still have a few finishing touches to finish off on this one. Ive got some Bare metal Foil Aluminium colour on the way that I will add to the front spoiler. So once it gets here Ill add the foil. I thought it would look better than paint. Also I want to add some photoetched hood pins to the front. just working out which ones to get. I thought some extra details would finish it nicely. I started with AMT 1971 street charger & converted it to a 1972 stockcar. Paint is Tamiya TS23 light blue & Tamita Fluro red & Tamiya clear. Chassis is H&R with a 18k H&R hawk motor, Front H&R wheels all round with my own cast urethane tires. Decals by Stubbo. Great job on the decals thanks. Ok heres the pics. This was really hard to photograph. That fluro red doesnt show up well on camera. In person its a much brighter red. Pity I cant run it for a while as my track is all in pieces as Im rebuilding it. Thanks for looking Greg Quote Thanks Greg

Pauls Slots 4 Report post Posted February 12, 2012 Nice job all round. The decalls finish the paint job off nicely. Were or what are the rims you have used. They suit the era nicely Paul Quote Try Harder, if you dont fail your not trying hard enough
Camber 19 Report post Posted February 12, 2012 Awesome, love the paint and especially the wheels. I gather if it's AMT then its 1/25 scale? You should come down our way to Xtreme Trax and give her a blast with our American muscle cars on a Thursday night. Can't let a car like that sit on the self too long! Well done. - Cam Quote Hoo Roo

choc-ice 2 Report post Posted January 31, 2016 Holy thread resurrection, Batman! This came up on a Google search as I was looking for images of Petty's '72 Charger - I'm trying to create the graphics sheet for my 1:32 version. I hope mine ends up as good as yours. 1 Quote 3D modelling a slot car - Dodge Monaco
