Here is my entry - it's going to be posted tomorrow - didn't get a chance to do that much testing.

OK, here are the Malaysian entries laid bare:

My Ford G7A:

Now Stubbo will know why I couldn't get the rear track within the Class B limit, so my Ford's in Class A

And here's Yuen Loong's Auto Coast:
Running chassis is a standard MSC except for NSR rear tyres.

Thanks Mark. Always a relief.

Love some of the photos. Looking forward to Class B with several new cars. Those Ford G7's are almost the same size as my McLaren M6a so should be good test. Think G7 worked out about 53.5mm wide which is only slightly wider than my car.

Please note too Mark that Taranaki ready to host when suggested (April). I am away for about a week and a half following Easter but we can do at least one qualifying session before I go and straight into racing on my return. Gives us 2 weekends to get all racing completed and get cars on way to Christchurch.

We will postpone normal racing until both rounds completed.

Regards

Chas Le Breton

Thanks Charles, and if it is more comofrtable to take an extra week, it won;t hurt, there is enough fat in the schedule in and out of ChCh.
You can cross that bridge as you reach it..... let''s keep it rolling but relaxed. We own the hobby, it doesn't own us.

I am sure the entrants will by cool with that level of flex.

No secrets here.

Stigs Honker making a return this year,it is supposed to be a McKee Mk 7, but that is still sitting where he left it on my bench.

Posted Image

Chassis is the same as last year, may have had some weight added??

The Flat6R sure is gaining in popularity. Low profile power...... and a bit tamer to drive than a Boxer motor, but near as quick.

I can't wait for the 23 and 25K versions to arrive 2nd quarter.....

From memory all the Racer-Sideways Group 5 cars will have a/winder and 23K version as standard.

I did consider putting in the Flat 6R in my Ford this year but ditched it in favour of the NSR King 25 as I felt that the power came on a little smoother but having said that, I think the lower CG of the 6R will be of advantage on some of the tracks. We'll just have to wait and see.

Phil, that Lola looks really mean and wide - not going to be easy to pass it round the bends.

Hi Phil

I can see it is an NSR chassis, but no idea which one.

It wouldn't be chance be the one you had under the black beast that won the year before last would it?

No idea John,he had the chassis over Christmas when he was home and brought it back for me to fit the new body, that didn't happen.
Yes Mark the Lola is a shadow of its self.

I love that car....fantastic chassis work and a dangerous looking motor....with double guide leads!
That makes it definitely of the Canam period.

I'll echo munter's comments, damn nice looking car.

Out of curiosity looking at some of the car setups, who makes the chassis with the guide out the front - a few cars have these for obvious advantage?

Mark - if you mean like DRW21 and my entry, that is the Slot.it HRS II chassis.
Yeah, good guide lead is useful.

Bugger - wasn't aware that something like that was available - oh well..... we'll see how I run and then decide whether to make some changes for 2013.

I'm expecting mid-lower field for myself..... still wishing I'd re-routed the guide leads but anyways....
