Love the Hyundai Castrol livery, couldn't source one so had to settle on something a little plainer. eBay has a few models around.

If so, and if it passes as a wrc car, I'll probably run that

Sadly it's an RX81b motor.

I have this one which has the right motor as well

Posted Image

Although its one of those models that doesn't have screws at the front. The D.Sola grill holds it into place which I dont think would be as good as having the screws.

Have that one sitting in a sealed box somewhere that was purchased as a backup plan for Ozrally. Figured it would have the right motor, interesting to know that the grill makes up half of the body mount though. Paint job would probably be on the cards, and at least SCX cars are fairly easy to strip.

Gazza, I gather modifications and swap outs would be limited to items within the SCX range. Any ideas when rules are likely to be finalised?

Are you getting similar enthusiasm from the rest of the world, or is this turning into a bunch of Aussies doing a grand tour?

The rules should be ready for posting by next week

At this moment we have 9 or 10 tracks around the globe with 2 new ones added

Three quarters of the field so far is from Oz

We are not limiting the field at the moment mainly to get a few more newbie's involved and because everybody has their hand up at the start and a few drop away as it gets closer to parting with money

Will keep everybody informed

Thanks for the clarification on that miveson.

I am going to run the cheapest eligable car I can find, so right now, its a citroen c4 from pendle that I am hoping to do a fantasy livery for.

Thanks again
Rock on

Hi Mel Gazza Craig etc.

Put me down for a entry, probably something from those cheese eating surrender monkeys. not sure of number yet but maybe #4

Would I be pushing my luck if I put in an entry for Mrs Broke too. I have proof of her being in the same room as me if required.

Good on you Lenny. I had contemplated entering His Lordship, but I think I'll leave that for the next OzRally. Besides, I don't want to have to buy him yet another car.

I think you'll find that the C4 has the RX-81B motor in it so it's out.

As it's french i don't own one, but according to most sites that's the motor it comes with, and wasn't included in the list sent over to Mel, nor is the Suzuki or the Skoda Fabia for the same reason.

If in doubt, have a look at the photo's

Can you swap motors to the legal RX-81?
