North Bris Nascar Repaints

Recommended Posts

Looks nice Scott well done your repaints will fit in well with all the others we have, I am currently painting up a Go Daddy car for one of the guys atm, and I will try to get some photos at the next racemeet of some of the other nascars the guys have done since I have last updated, in particular a Brad Keselowski repaint with a finish that's as good of not better than the Ambrose car on here.

thanks johnsxr8, i've put an airbrush on top of my shopping list. on the #9 car,did you start off putting a few really light coats over the decals and gradually increase the coats as the decals were sealed? it looks like it must have about a dozen coats or more to get a finish like that. cant wait to see some more of your paint jobs.keep up the great work. thanks again.

No worries, yes it has had a few coats of clear, we do light coats first to seal the decals plus if you go to heavy at first you will fry your decals

Been getting tired waiting for a company to make a Gen 6 Nascar so I have been playing with the pattos bodies and wraps, though I have not got the finish as good as a hard body yet they are getting better with every attempt. I have currently mounted them to the DPR Impala SS chassis and mounting the body to the original interior so to remove the body from the car just requires removing the 2 screws that hold the interior to the chassis

Cool.

Are you using waterslide or peel and stick?

They would be nice runners with PETG bodies.
