Starting this as slot cars and V8 have a lot in common.

Great videos Roger really enjoyed them plus I learnt heaps, now I'll just have to watch them again to remember all that stuff.

 

I wonder if it all applies on a smaller scale for our 1:32 versions, except of course the rear wing in my case as they tend to all disappear eventually. :D

Quite a bit about of the COTF (Car Of The Future) up on the V8 Supercars website today and plenty of info on what its all about.

The key factors are........

Racing every 2 weeks.

At least 4 cars per team [nascar have over 10 per team]

Halved car build costs.

Ford and Holden have a small % of car sales in OZ now.

Extremely similar cars built the same. [Most cars now are built by about 2 builders]

 

 

Why do they need [more] manufacturers ?

As long as the grid is full, I don't get it.

 

 

Incidentally, they have not addressed to engine [costs] as yet.

Currently a 2 car team [would have at least] have 7 engines. 2 in cars 2 in trucks 2 in rebuild and 1 on dyno and many more parts.

A huge chunk of dough.
