gazza
We are nearing the off for stage one this evening. times will be posted tomorrow (hopefully) Could someone from the event please post them on a thread on SCX forum as we do not have access (this year) We cleaned the braids, tyres etc and three of us inspected the cars last night and gave them a test shakedown run on a non event track The findings were limited to six words max if required so mini 177 Stable drives well Stratos 26 Poor braking effect renault 8TS 101 Good All round Stratos 05 jumps around under acceleration Alpine 01 Good and stable 131 04 Poor braking effect rolls on 124 07 good and stable 5 turbo 15 good and stable escort 10 tips very easy on corners alpine 14 corners poorly Sunbeam 16 good speed everywhere sierra 18 very smooth, but tips escort 50 lacks straight line speed 131 52 fast all round 131 55 stable but brakes to one side sunbeam 56 lacks speed 131 61 smoooooooth 131 102 handles poor in tight corner citroen DS 195 corners well for big narrow car 131 20 good speed brakes to one side gto 03 unstable but quick celica 11 bumps and jumps 959 09 smoot and steady celica 11 bumps and jumps around, brakes awkwardly 037 17 brakes to one side S4 19 nice in corners 037 28 smooth RS200 66 also smooth 959 99 corners well hops under acceleration gto 103 handling is nice 037 305 brakes to one side These are the opinions of a couple of our younger members and may not be of use to gauge the event as we have differing types of circuit to be used our Ferrari 103 was a little battered as was rico's, all fixed I had to carefully straighten the screw posts in our to prevent the wheels rubbing constantly, tyres had gone off one was like concrete with the other not far behind (just too old I guess) plus the front had been compressed some how, all the other cars are fine and run well, no mechanical faults evident Rico's Ferrari front end was also straightened. Good luck to one and all watch this space....... Ben_M
Well done boys!! Not a good round for team Toyota but I wont complain too much with another top 10. Anyone else notice the stopwatches? Backup or main timing? Quote Some slot (and MTB) vids NOW SHOWING
teamredracing
Are the Poms starting to get desperate Ben, as they still have you as one of there's.Maybe you should do a rename of your forum name to Ben the Pom M . 6 Aussies up in the top ten again. Glad to see that my car is still a chance . Thanks to all those who had a hand in the running of this round.Congrats to the podium winners in each of the classes. Wonder whats going on with Rally P's Toyota as my prediction is going down the toilet Cheers Craig Edited June 12, 2011 by teamredracing Quote Craig "You can please all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time”. Ben_M
Tell me about it, I thought they might have not claimed me since I didnt win this time. As for RallyP, maybe tyres are starting to ware out, didn't Johns RS200 have similar issues last year. If so, bad timing for the spares to go missing Quote Some slot (and MTB) vids NOW SHOWING

teamredracing
Tore ,sorry to hear your opting out but if your work load is to much then no probs. You've done a fine job so far . Thanks to Ian and Malcom and his crew from the Wolves club for the efforts of the last round. To the guys who got podiums ,congrats. As for the next round I was reading my schedule and the French run was on the 4th of June, but now cancelled, the following round is the 18th June in Spain (Sig's).If the cars can be shipped by what ever means possible (why not get the TOP GEAR guys to do a run to Spain, they like doing that sort of thing )by the 18th and Sig is happy with the postal service there, his round would only be a few days to a week out . If this can happen ,the whole event would be only out by a week or two. I'm not worried with that. With Tore being busy ,the last round would be at PSRRFH ,still in Denmark where Tore could then send the cars back anyway. I would like to see it finish and see my car grab some more points . Post anywhere in the world these days is a bit iffy.I suppose we can be thankful they were'nt going from here with the ash cancelling flights out. I dont mean that as a bad thing to any of the postal workers who are avid slotters .My car has now competed in last years and this years Proxy Rally so far and yes I would be annoyed if somewhere it got lost ,but to lay blame to any one person involved with the Proxy isnt right unless it was posted by SEA (Did that come up again sorry ). All jokes aside we take those risks,we dont want see it happen but we have to accept it may.I'm happy for mine to carry on. This is only my opinion as I know some of you guys have two cars involved if not 3 . I will post this on SCX as well as Auslot. Cheers Craig Quote Craig "You can please all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time”.
gazza
Sad that you've come to that conclusion Tore, i thought you had asked for and had received a helping hand, or hands, with the running and i.t input by a couple of hosts. Oh well ... i'm all for letting it run it's course You take a chance when you enter a proxy, due to the nature of the event, the cars can be damaged, lost or even destroyed at any time during their travels, whether it be from town to town or country to country, It'd be nice to get the car(s) back in one piece, but that's why you keep the costs down when building a car, and that is the appeal of the SCX proxy as most of the entrants are stock. At the end of the day they are only toys If postage is a problem maybe a courier (UPS or whatever) is the answer for the Spanish and Italian leg See what's in the kitty ..... might have to wring the friggin cats neck for the courier Quote Quickly read this post before it is deleted or i turn grey again Gary http://www.facebook.com/Rallyproxy2017
356speedster
OK, some work has been done "behind the scenes" and the proxy circus will continue as planned. The remaining events in Spain, Italy, Denmark (and Norway) have been re-confirmed and re-schduled. So, in short we will continue the series with the originally planed events, but with a new scheduled. More info will be posted later.
