jimmyslots 1950
Series 1 for 2013 finished up on Thursday night & what a different series it was, with the re-painting of the Pitstop Track & the introduction of the GT class with the fabulious Cheetah motor. Track grip is more consistant & allows the more powerful Cheetahas to strech their legs & made our racing much more exciting. Cam was the winner of Nascars & with some very fast & consistant times with beautifully prepared cars.Chris had some good consistant results to come in 2nd. Chris was the winner of our first series using the GT cars with his Plafit JGT Honda proving to be very hard to beat each week.JJ was a good equal 2nd & the Captain & Cam equal 3rd in a very enjoyable class of car to race. Chris had another win in Can-Am with Cam 2nd & the ever improving Jason in 3rd. Thanks to all the guys for making each week so much fun to race & with series 2 starting in 2 weeks I'm looking forward to the return of the Plafit Mini Z's Here's series 1 final placings Cheers Jimmy Quote To finsh first, first you gotta finish
jimmyslots 1950
Great turn up at X-Teme last night for Rd 1 of the Sideways Group 5 buy car series. We had 19 entrants racing on the Diggers Track split into 2 divisions & what a great car they are,all that was needed to be done was glue & sand the tyres & glue in the motor & go racing. The Sideways cars are probably the best buy car that we have raced with very minimal car preparation allowed in this class they were all on a good pace & not many,if any problems. Greg had a good dubut with his Capri to come a close 2nd with JJ & Rob equal 3rd. Rob was also 1st in Div 2 so a great drive by him with John just 2 laps down in 2nd & our new Australian Speedway Go Kart Champion Brad Cunneen in 3rd. It was a great effort by Brad after winning his title in Brisbane on Saturday night & driving all the way home on Sunday & then the trip from Sydney to Dapto on Monday just to race another of his toys.Well done Brad & Congratulations from all your mates at Dapto. We also raced our Scaleauto's on the Pitstop track where we had 12 starters. Cam was the winner in Div 1 & the Captain equal 2nd with Clinton who is supposed to be in div 2,but if he keeps up that type of performance he will find himslf in div 1 very soon Here's the race sheets Cheers Jimmy Quote To finsh first, first you gotta finish
jimmyslots 1950
Last Thursday night we ran Rd 1 of Series 2 for 2013 1/24th scale at X-Treme Trax. Cam had a close win to just edge out Jason in Nascars by 1 lap with the Captain in equal 3rd. Introduced young John (run under the name Rob)to Nascars & with a handfull of laps on the diggers track to get used to them & he drove very well & had excellent throttle control. The drive is more remarkable when you considder he has only driven cars with mags & 1/32nd. Well done John & now we'll have to get dad to have a go this week. Cam also had a good win in the exciting new class GT's & looking at some of the other clubs running GT;s it won't be long before we start to experiment with different body styles rather than the GTJ's we are currently running. Mini Z's made their comback this series & Chris took home the lollies with Cam,the Captain & JJ in equal 3rd in a very close race. Here's some pics of our GT's & race sheets. jimmyslots 1950
Monday night we ran Rd 3 of our Sideways buy car on the Diggers track & the Scaleauto 1/24th on the Pitstop . The Sideways proved very reliable & next week we will try them on another track as the confidence builds in their handling. Div 2 was a very close race with 7 laps seperating the top 7 with John having a very good win & John M 2nd only a few laps adrift & David,Charles & Ben in equal 3rd. Scaleauto's are creating a lot of close racing with all the Div 2 guys having very quick cars & making the Div 1 guys work hard to pass safely. Here's result sheets & I'll get some pics next week. jimmyslots 1950
We ran Rd 2 of our 1/24th scale cars on Thursday night & as usual Nascars provided some very close results with 4 racers finishing on 90 laps. Mini Z's are proving to be a very competitive class of racing with not much seperating the field. GT's are providing just that little bit more excitement with the Plafit Cheetah motor giving that little bit more extra speed & I'm looking forward to seeing some new bodies that are avaliable out there especially some of the Scaleauto body kits that would be ideal for this class. Here's the race results & a GT pic    Cheers Jimmy Edited April 22, 2013 by jimmyslots 1950 Quote To finsh first, first you gotta finish
jimmyslots 1950
Monday night we ran Rd 4 of our Sdeways & Scaleauto 1/24th at X-Treme Trax. Sideways were run down stairs on the Blackforrest track & John had a close win in Div 2 with Steve & Clint taking the minor placings. Scaleauto's were run on the Pitstop Track & Cam,The Captain & Greg all finished on 107 laps in Div 1 & Charles just pipping Clint & John in Div 2. Here's the results & some pics. jimmyslots 1950
Here's the results from X-Treme last week. First up is Monday night's Scaleauto & Sideways comp. On Thursday night we had 13 entries with John Amundson travelling down from the big smoke to get some practice in for the upcoming Mini Z Enduro next Saturday. We also had Charles & Clinton testing their new Mini Z & a welcome back to Andrew England who had a couple of years break chasing Minor birds in his back yard with his RC Hellicopter. Here's the results with some pics Here's Pauls new Nascar  Might need a little Lead Paul Cheers Jimmy Quote To finsh first, first you gotta finish
jimmyslots 1950
Great night's racing last night at X-Treme Trax for Rd 6 & final round of series 2 at Dapto. In Div 2 Sideways John finished the series with a great drive to end up 3rd outright & 2nd fastest laps with Clinton & Brad taking the minor placings. Sideways has been a very good class to race & will definately get another gig soon at X-Treme. Next week we are having a fun night race, thats where Pitstop can do his favourite trick of parking under the donut just waiting for his next victim to run into him & when they crash he just drives of as if nothing has happened, beware Gary we all know your tricks & I'm sure someone will pay you back with interest. Next series is going to be Scaleauto 1/32 nd GT's so Monday night will be a Scaleauto series & if the 1/32's are as good as the 1/24's it will be another great series. Final Round of 1/24th Scaleauto' saw Brad have a great drive to just pip Clinton by 1 lap with John proving very consistant to take 3rd in Div 2. Cam proved too consistant in Div 1 to just edge out the Captain in his Bullit Merc. Here's the race sheets Cheers Jimmy :D Quote To finsh first, first you gotta finish
jimmyslots 1950
Last Thursday at X-Treme we only ran Rd 4 Nascars & Mini Z's & had an unofficial Z practice on the Diggers track for Saturday night's Enduro. Cam had another good win in Nascars but Paul was the standout in one of Cams built Nascars setting some awsome times but deslotting alot,so just tone it down a bit Paul & give the rest of us a chance. Chris & Cam were on fire in Mini Z's & as Saturday night's Enduro results confirm. jimmyslots 1950
Last week we finished up Series 2 Scaleauto 1/24th & Sideways 1/32nd buy car series. In Scaleauto's Cam was the most consistant with the Captain keeping him honest in div 1. Charles took the honours in div 2 with son Clinton breathing down his neck. The Sideways Group 5 have probably been our best buy car selection with no car issues that I can think of to complain about. Cars performed well on all the tracks that they were raced on & will definately get another run as new cars & liveries arrive on the scene. Here's the results Cheers Jimmy Quote To finsh first, first you gotta finish
jimmyslots 1950
Had a sickie on Thusday night & the Captain passed on the results, unfortunately the printer is still out of ink so Rod went to the back up system, photo's. jimmyslots 1950
Ran Rd 6 on Thursday night of our 1/24th scale at X-Treme Trax. Paul continues to be the car to beat in Nascars with some balistic times & with a bit more weight should do more laps as well,I've got a 4lb hammer here Paul, should just be right to weigh it down. GT's are proving to be very exciting with the Cheetah motors & 13.8 volts making them a hand full but fun. Chris is still the benchmark with his very quick Audi in Mini Z's. jimmyslots 1950
Last week at X-Treme on Monday night we ran the first round of our 1/32nd buy car which this series is Scaleauto 1/32's. As with the Scaleauto 1/24's they had some issues with wheels falling off & grub screws coming loose but as we move through the series I don't expect any major problems. Cars were very evenly matched as the results indicate with 3 drivers sharing the win & another 2 a 1 lap down. Scaleauto 1/24th was also run on the Pitstop track & Greg had a good win to just beat Paul by 1 lap. Here's Monday night's race sheets. On Thursday night we wrapped up series 2 of our 1/24th Scale racing & a good field of 12 to do battle with newbies Vito & Bill having a run & drove well I gave the track it's first clean since it's re-paint & a light preperation with spray grease & was fairly grippy & maybe a few more preps to bring it up to speed. As usual there was a close result wih 3 cars finishing on 94 laps with Cam being the first Nascar to crack the 7 second barrier, well done Cam. Computer had a mind of it's own & didn't list results in order as it does some times. GT's was another close race with 4 drivers within 2 laps at the finish & I'm looking forward to the next series when rumor has it there will be a couple of 458 Ferrari's making their debut, yee haa! JJ & Chris took the lollies in Zed cars with Cam just 1 lap behind, again looking forward to next series as there will be quite a few new cars making their fiirst run as the locals search for that majic combination that will give them the edge for the up coming APC in August. Here's Thursday's race sheets Cheers Jimmy Quote To finsh first, first you gotta finish
jimmyslots 1950
Last week at X-Treme Trax we wound up series 2 of our 1/24th scale racing. And for the first time we had different winners in the 3 classes. Cam was the deserved winner of Nascars where we had 5 people taking wins to make a very competive class. Chris was a run away winner in Plafit Mini Z's with some very consistant drives with his very well prepared cars. I got lucky in the ballistic GT's with just 1 point seperating me & Chris. Tonight we are going to have our first warm up races using only Plafit class cars, with the APC just around the corner it's time for us to get some serious track time with the Plafits in race mode. Next series we will be sadly giving the Nascars a rest until after the APC,but this will be a good thing as there are a number of new Nascars already on our work benches getting built & tuned for their return after the APC. Here's the result sheets for series 2 Â Cheers Jimmy Edited June 6, 2013 by jimmyslots 1950 Quote To finsh first, first you gotta finish

jimmyslots 1950
Last monday week we ran Rd 2 of our 1/24th Scaleauto's & 1/32nd buy car at X-Treme Trax. Greg had a good night with wins in both races in Div 1 while Charles & his son Clinton shared wins in Div 2. On Thursday night we had a Plafit practice night where we got some of the classes of Plafit that we don't run regularly at X-Treme & dusted them off to see how they would go on the new surface. I've only posted the lap times & some classes had a few ring ins with a couple of Group C's in with the GT's so don't be too alarmed at the quick times of some cars as they may not be in that class. Tomorrow night we start series 3 for 2013 & we will be dropping our favourite Nascars & concentrating on all our Plafit classes in the lead up to the APC in August. Here' the result 's sheets & I'll try to remember to take some pics tomorrow of some new GT's Quote To finsh first, first you gotta finish
jimmyslots 1950
On Thursday night we kicked off Series 3 for 2013 & Greg put in a good race in Can-Am to prove his good driving in the MCN wasn't a fluke with a good win with 123 laps with his backup car Mini Z's are still a toss up of which car to run in the APC with Chris & Cam still the bench mark with some very respectable & consistant lap times. GT's was a mix of Cheetah & Fox powered cars with Greg continuing on with his good form with his beautiful Honda GTJ with the Captain & Chris in his slipstream. Here's the race sheets & some Pics of the night. jimmyslots 1950
Pitstop was the track of choice for Monday night's Scaleauto racing at X-Treme Trax Dapto. In 1/32nd buy car JJ & the Captain had a good dice in Div 1 with JJ taking the lollies. David continued his good form to take out Div 2 with John & Steve taking the minors. John & Brad had a good race in Div 2 1/24th Scaleauto's with John winning by 1 lap. Greg took a good 2nd from Pitstop & the Captain keeping them honest in Div 1. Here's the lap sheets. jimmyslots 1950
Finished another Monday night series at X-Treme last night with the final running of the Scaleauto 1/32nd cars, now we own them & can do some serious chassis tuning to make them more user friendly. Next series we are running Scalextric rally cars which is a first for a lot of us & should be a lot of fun as the Scalextric usually prove to be very reliable & trouble free. Here's the race sheets.
