Brooksy Posted July 15, 2017 Report Share Posted July 15, 2017 Season 3, Round 4 action took place on Thursday night with a record 21 drivers participating in both the Plafit Mini Z and Plafit Historic classes. In the Mini Z's, Cam produced a faultless drive, taking out the win with 125.9 laps. Chris driving very consistently, claiming is 4th podium in as many weeks, second with 123.3 laps. the same can be said with Steve E, third this week with 123.0 laps. In the Plafit Historics, Brooksy bounced back to take victory this week, first place with 132.9 laps. Cam put in another solid drive to finish second, cmpleting 129.9 laps. Chris was right behind in third, ending up with 129.7 laps overall. In the Plafit Mini Z's, Cam broke the lap distance record, his SuperGT Honda racking up 127.1 laps to take out first place. Rod C was the nearest competitor, finishing in second completing 122.1 laps. Steve E made another podium appearance, third place this week with 121.6 laps, edging out Clinton and Chris by 0.041 and 0.047 laps respectively. In the Plafit Historics, Chris drove a very clean race to take out top honours, the Porsche 917 completing a respectable 131.1 laps. Jim P back on the podium, second this week with 130.3 laps. Steve E made it two third place finishes for the night, 125.8 laps completed this week. Results - Season 3, Round 5 (July 13) Results - Plafit Mini Z Results - Plafit Historics Season 3 Pointscore - Round 5 Our 6th and final round of season 3 will take place next week. Brooksy Posted August 5, 2017 Report Share Posted August 5, 2017 Season 3, Round 6 took place back on July 27th, with 20 competitors taking part in both the Plafit Mini Z and Historic races. In the Plafit Mini Z's, Rod C took out line honors, winning with 122.8 laps. Chris W was right behind in second with 122.7 laps, 0.082 of a lap behind. Steve E also finished on the same lap for third, competing 122.1 laps. Class wise Chris took out the Mini Z series with 99 points, Steve E second with 95, and Rod C third with 94. In the Plafit Historics, Brooksy took out the victory with 131.0 laps. Chris W second with 129.9 laps and Steve E third with 128.7 laps. Series wise, Chris took out the Historics with 96 points, Brooksy second with 92 points and Cam third with 87 points. Overall, Chris took out Season 3 with a combined total pointscore of 190 points. Steve E second with 173 points, ahead of Rod C in third with 170 points. Congratulations all all podium finishers. In the Classic Touring/Muscle Car Breakout Class, Jim had a faultless run, not once crashing or breaking out with his Ford Mustang, taking out the win with 118.1 laps. Rod C brought home his Orange Ford Capri in second, finishing with 116.9 laps. Glenn also onto the podium with his Mobil 1 Holden Commodore, 3rd with 116.5 laps. In the Slotworx Utes/Trucks, Steve E took out the inaugural race for Ford, his Ute completing 124.7 laps to finish up on the top step. Cam N not far back in second, his Holden Ute competing 124.4 laps. Glenn P made it three Utes finishing on the same lap, his Holden third with 124.2 laps. Very close racing indeed. Below is a review of what's been happening these last few weeks. Round 2 action took place on August 17th, Some drivers were missing in action due to the Mr. Slot Car festival in Melbourne, but nevertheless we had an exciting round. In the Touring/Muscle Breakout Class, Rod took out the victory with 115.2 laps, Brooksy second with 114.3 laps and Clinton J third with 114.2 laps. In the Slotworx Ute/Truck Class, Steve E won with 123.5 laps, Brooksy second with 122.4 laps and Rod third with 118.2 laps. Results - Season 4, Round 2 (August 17th) Results - Classic Touring/Muscle Car Breakout Class Results - Slotworx Utes & Trucks Pointscore - Season 4, Round 2 Round 3 action took place on August 24th, We had an familiar face return, Michael L was back in town an joined in on the action. In the Touring/Muscle Breakout Class, Brooksy took out the victory with 118.4 laps, Chris second with 117.5 laps and Rod third with 117.4 laps. In the Slotworx Ute/Truck Class, Steve E won again with 120.7 laps, Brooksy second with 120.3 laps and Gregg 'Trump'le third with 117.8 laps. Results - Season 4, Round 3 (August 24th) Results - Classic Touring/Muscle Car Breakout Class Results - Slotworx Utes & Trucks Pointscore - Season 4, Round 3 Round 4 action took place last night with 18 drivers competing in both classes. In the Touring/Muscle Breakout Class Rod had a spectactular run winning with 119.3 laps, in my eyes one of hes best runs ever! Brooksy second with 117.5 laps and Jim third with 116.9 laps. In the Slotworx Ute/Truck Class, Steve E is unstoppable, winning his 4th consecutive race with 123.6 laps, Pagey second with 122.1 laps and Brooksy third with 121.4 laps. In the Classic Touring/Muscle Car Breakout Class, Jim P took out the win with a new distance record of 119.5 laps. Ben D recorded his first Dapto podium result, second with 119.2 laps. Gregg T rounded out third place with 118.7 laps. In the Slotworx Utes and Trucks, Cam N took out the victory with 124.8 laps. Steve E second with 124.4 laps and Chris W third with 122.4 laps. Results - Season 4, Round 5 (September 7th) Results - Classic Touring/Muscle Car Breakout Class Results - Slotworx Utes & Trucks Pointscore - Season 4, Round 5 Round 6 action took place on September 14th. In the Classic Touring/Muscle Car Breakout Class, Cam N took out the win with 119.4 laps. Chris W second with 117.5 laps, ahead of Rod C who rounded out third place with 117.1 laps. In the Slotworx Utes and Trucks, Steve E took out his 5th class victory this week winning with 124.9 laps. Cam N second with 124.1 laps and Brooksy third with 123.2 laps. Results - Season 4, Round 6 (September 14th) Results - Classic Touring/Muscle Car Breakout Class Results - Slotworx Utes & Trucks Pointscore - Season 4, Round 6 After 6 weeks, Rod C took out the Classic Touring/Muscle Car Breakout Class, Steve E taking out a commanding victory in the Slotworx Utes & Trucks, and Brooksy taking out the combined season 4 championship. Racing will pause over the next couple of weeks as drivers prepare for the Australian Plafit Championships in Adelaide. Season 5 will commence on October 12th, with a Test 'n' Tune race night scheduled a week prior on October 5th. The classes for Season 5 are 1/32nd Slotworx Supercars and Plafit Le Mans Prototypes. It was a close battle in the 32nd Slotworx-Slot.it Supercar Class. Just over 0.1 of a lap separated our top 3 this week. Brooksy took out the victory, winning with 112.09 laps. Rod C was second, finishing up with 112.03 laps. Glenn P rounded out the podium with 111.9 laps. In the 1/24th Plafit LeMans Class their were plenty of thrills and spills as drivers came to terms with the cheetah motor. Cam took out the win with 132.6 laps. Brooksy second with 131.6 laps. and Glenn P third with 128.9 laps. In the Slot.it Slotworx Supercars, Brooksy made it two wins on the trot, taking out the class victory with 114.7 laps. Cam finished next, second place with 112.4 laps. Jim fixed his tyre problems from round 1 to finish third, ending up with 110.8 laps. In the Plafit LeMans, Cam lead from start to finish as he claimed his second consecutive victory, this week ending up with 133.3 laps. Jim finished in second this week, finishing with 130.6 laps. Brooksy rounded out the podium, third with 130.4 laps. The final 2 rounds of the 2017 Xtremetrax Club Championship took place earlier in November, with Rounds 5 and 6 of Season 5 taking place on November 9 and 16. Round 5 - In the 1/32nd Slot.it Slotworx Supercars, Brooksy made it 5 consecutive wins, taking out the win with 112.9 laps. Rod C finished runner-up posting 109.9 laps. Chris W rounded out the podium with 109.85 laps. In the Plafit LeMans, Brooksy again took victory with 30.5 laps, Pipping Troy C who finished second with 130.3 laps. Chris W was once again third with 128.4 laps. Results - Slot.it Slotworx Supercars Results - Plafit LeMans Pointscore - Season 5, Round 5 Round 6 - In the 1/32nd Slot.it Slotworx Supercars, Jim P returned from his cruise recharged and firing on all cylinders, winning with 108.3 laps. Pagey was second this week with 107.9 laps. Chris finished in third with 107.1 laps. In the Plafit LeMans, Jim took out the win with 122.3 laps. Troy C was runner-up with 121.0 laps, with Chris back in third, 120.6 laps this week. Results - Slot.it Slotworx Supercars Results - Plafit LeMans Pointscore - Season 5, Round 6 Season 5 - Championship. Series wise, Brooksy took out the 1/32nd Slot.it Slotworx Supercars with a perfect score of 105 points. Chris W was runner-up on 89 points, pipping Pagey in third with 88 points. In Plafit LeMans, we had a new series winner. Troy C taking out the class with a combined total score of 92 points. Pagey and Brooksy finished equal 2nd both a point back on 91 each. Brooksy took out Season 5, with a combined total of 196 points. Pagey second on 178 points and Chris third on 162 points. Xtremetrax 2017 Championship. After 9 months of racing, spanning over 5 series, 10 classes, and in total 60 races, our 2017 Club Champion goes to Brooksy. Finishing with a grand total of 868 points, Jason had a great year taking out the most victories (16), podiums (32) and Top 5 % finishes with a strike rate of 80.0%. Runner-up for 2017 went to Chris W on 808 points. Chris had a great podium record, taking out 29 top 3 finishes, with a strike rate of 55.8%. Our Second Runner-up went to Steve E. Steve continued his upward form, taking out 7 wins, especially dominant within the Sloworx Ute series back in season 4. A huge thanks goes to all 26 drivers that participated in this years series. With your continued support, the racing continues to grow in leaps and bounds. Just to through some crazy stats, combined the group completed 108367.75 laps for 2017. At approximately 25 metres per lap, the racing group completed a distance of 2709.19 Kilometers. Thats the equlivent of traveling from Dapto to just past Cooktown in far north Queensland, Ayres Rock in the Northern Territory or 436 laps of Mount Panarama, Bathurst. Also a huge thanks to the owners, Alec and now Mark for allowing us to race weekly at such a fantastic facility. Also a shout out to the Cam Shop for helping us get those go fast race parts! We whish you all have a great break over Christmas and New Years. Whilst i'll be busy prepping for New Years, i look forward to coming back down in early January. Also a big thanks to all the Dapto racers for a very enjoyable year of racing with special thanks to Cam for bringing his Slotworx creations for us to race & enjoy. Looking forward to 2018 racing with Cams Porsche Cup cars to debut & if last week was any indication they are going to be sensational.
