inveterate retiree Posted February 17, 2011 Report Share Posted February 17, 2011 The computer age has bought us so much closer together, no matter what the distance on our ever shrinking planet. Lots of great stuff comes with computers, though on the dark side they have made the ever growing repositories of knowledge about us, (let alone the eyes in the sky & other sophistication) bring the genuine possibility/reality of Big Brother closer day by day. Which is both sad & scary to my mind. I much preferred the late sixties & first half of the seventies when we were dumber, life was simpler & in general we didn't really know that our collective actions could actually have an effect on future generations.
