Ben_M
Thanks for running the round boys and for the pic of my car. Looks like mine was a bit tippy again. Hope you get some rest so we can get the SCX proxy up and running finally. Look forward to the next round (even if I keep sliding down the order) Quote Some slot (and MTB) vids NOW SHOWING

kalbfellp
The crown gear has an alloy hub and to me it looks like it has worn badly allowing the crown and rear axle to move sideways and out of mesh! gazza
Comments on the cars In general the majority of the cars were good, there were as always a few WTF cars but that's normal Some of the field opted for the larger motors which are good on a flat track, but over the top on mine The weight on most the cars was inside the body which brought the C.O.G up high Here's a standard Escort with no weight on the outside .... a good 12mm wasted And my Healey with weight glued as "out riggers" Because my track has so many different curves and corners A good low C.O.G car is important as some corners have plenty of negative camber And the run down to the infamous hair pin Here's the run up towards the hair pin You can see the difference in height and camber Cars with no grip suffer on this corner Some cars were left standard or modified to give maximum down force on the braid, good idea but when coupled with too much weight up high and a fee floating front axle ...... Most the Fly Porsches and a few other makes suffered from this problem Basicly over motored cars with bad tyre choice and top heavy don't perform to well on this track ..... remember KISS Quote Quickly read this post before it is deleted or i turn grey again Gary http://www.facebook.com/Rallyproxy2017
kalbfellp
Thanks for the feed back Gazza,I know my Torana would have been Much nicer with less motor,IMO some thing around 17,000 would make it a nice car.I tried a BWA slim but that was too slow. Slo
Thanks for the info. Some food for thought there. I will giving more attention to the motor next time. As I guess the RX 4H makes my car over motored ? I had two 42Bs' at hand when setting up the Spyder, one was a complete dud, maybe the better of the two was a dud too, The 4H was way better than both. as the series progresses I am wondering if the 4H motor is now run in, therefore running better too. The Spyder did alright on your track considering I think it may be over powered, so it must be handling ok, and given its lack of performance in the last 2 rounds I am wondering that it maybe the overpowered motor having more effect on the handling than I gave any thought to .? There's a fair bit to consider in this slot car racing proxy thing, there are a lot of different tracks to set up for. Its all good fun watching, and looking for tips along the way, as the series unfolds. Thanks for the effort put into the feedback as it is really the only way we know where the car needs improving. Yeh ... just a little too much power, couldn't push it to it's true potential, as the tyres were very good Quote Quickly read this post before it is deleted or i turn grey again Gary http://www.facebook.com/Rallyproxy2017
