Davnic74
Well heres the new layout for track #4, Not sure if it will be 3 or 4 lanes as yet i know the area size i have to work with its just a matter of making it fit with 105 mm lane spacings. It will be Magnabraid, Ferrodore again. Construction to start this weekend. Its not a very technical drawing but you get the idea . knoath
Wow!!! Embs is right! You don't muck around Dave! How close are you to a final design? Or will you just wing it once the MDF is layed out? Quote Cheers, Dick SCMR build thread Woodbrook Valley build thread "A Man's home is his castle, but his garage is his sanctuary!" Davnic74
How close are you to a final design? Or will you just wing it once the MDF is layed out? This is pretty much it, but we all know when its on paper it doesnt always reflect the finished product.. u goin to do pits this time? heh. Let me know if you need some help. I got some ferrodor left over, might be able to mix your left over and mine and have enough. No pits for this one, thanks for the offer to help i should be ready for paint by month end. Eno the Wonderdog
GZ - I'm just realistic about how organised I am! Thinking about that too Dave - just don't know where to take it from.. I was thinking of slicing it up to put hills in but it might be easier to just start from scratch.. Davnic74
Some major progress today after waiting till 12 for the timber delivery, and some help from my site manager.. . After some drawing on the MDF i have worked out that 4 lanes will fit nicely, i have made some jacks to lift the track at the bonnet end another 3 inches allowing me to make that area bigger. Hopfully some routing during the week and paint next weekend. Site manager.. Quote Regard's David Team Phoenix 4 x Australian National Champion. Premier Raceway Build Gallery Raceway Build. knoath
I was over your way on Friday night Dave (drove past your street!) helping a mate move house. There was no time to call in and say G'Day (got home early the next morning!) but I would have if I had time. Gotta see the PREMYA and the track build. Looks like I'll be over that way in the next coupla weeks, so I might get a chance to see another of your great track builds! Good to see the site manager on the job! Those shelves are still a bit full... allow me to lighten them for you! Davnic74
Bit of an update, not much happening atm (work gets in the way ) tonight i managed to get it exactly were i want, and ready for routing this weekend and hopefully paint next week. Just need to get the design right.. I added a block to the base so i can jack it up and place 45 mm blocks under the wheels on one side to allow me to drive the car under. Plenty of room down the side. Edited August 5, 2022 by Davnic74 Quote Regard's David Team Phoenix 4 x Australian National Champion. Premier Raceway Build Gallery Raceway Build.
