Seems New Ssd 6 Car Pb Has Landed In The States

Recommended Posts

Can you assign a car to a controller whilst others are using the track?

Does the car stop if you unplug (accidently of course, people with kids will know what I'm on about) the controller while its flying around the track?

Hi Drifter,

the car assignment is very similar to all the other scaley powerbases, whatever car is on the track gets assigned to that controller when you hit the button. So if you have 3 cars on , they all get assigned to that one controller.

I can confirm that the car does stop whenever the controller is pulled out EXCEPT when you have set a speed in the pacer car menu. The unpugging of the controller invokes the pacer car function so then if that is set for the controller unplugged it most certainly will not stop.

Hope that helps

Thanks that does help heaps,

regarding the car assignment can you also program a new car to say controller 6 while the kids are using controller s say 2 & 3 ,or does everyone have to stop using the track while the new car is added?

You can't program ID's whilst other cars are in use or on the track, otherwise they will all be programmed with the ID that you set.

As an alternative to what your trying to achieve you could use an old 4-car digital PB to program cars 1-4 without impacting on the current racing, simply program on the external PB (obviously not connected to the track) and place car straight on to the track being used once done.
